Yeah, I could never really understand how anyone could say there isn't anything wrong with her being shy when Hinata herself thinks of it as a weakness XD What does that say about the fans screaming 'Hinata-hime is so perfect and her shyness is adorable'! Do they really even understand her character?

I think a rather ironic example would be the claim that Hinata didn't pick on/outcast Naruto in the beginning. The obvious counter is that while this might be true, she stood by and watched while everyone else did; too timid to stand up to an obvious evil.

It may be cute and adorable, but it is a character flaw for a reason.

So I finally just watched the "Confessions" chapter in the anime, and I find it very strange that they really extended this fight. I was pretty sure that Hinata only lasted four panels. Is it just me or is the bias getting worse as time goes on?

My views on that ep. are roughly the same as everyonelse's, but I'll hold back on commenting about it because I don't want to be the instigator of bashing.

The only thing I'll say is, I'm disappointed in the anime studio for letting personal bias affect the original work of the mangaka. Why can't they just call it like it is, no added filler, just show it as it was done in the manga?

well, they have to extend it somewhat or they'd run out of material >.>

Chapter 437 and ep 166 were Hinata's 15 minutes of fame since after Kishi has stopped giving any development or hardly any panel time. He's probably done with her development as a character, now I think he's really using her as a side character.

I have no problem with Hinata. I like Hinata, but the blatant bias that is being shown here really makes me cringe when I watch the anime. And to be fair they really don't extend that much. They slow the pacing down, and then they add filler arcs but they don't really change anything tremendous.

Hmm... not exactly. I'd say she still has a bit more character development waiting for her in the war. Considering she's going to be facing Hizashi as well. Asuma might also be hard on her because she's her sensei's fiance.

Because if it did it would invalidate everything this story is trying to convey. If he can't keep his promise to Sakura, then why could he keep his promise to Pain, or Jiraya.

When I have doubts like this I watch the OVA that just came out, and then I can go back to relaxing.

yea i agree, hes not just gonna hop from another girl cause he can't keep a promise. hes naruto for goodness sake!! hes gonna bring sasuke back, get the girl, and become the hokage already!! but.....even if he couldnt bring sasuke back, im sure that he would still love sakura. i mean how would sakura feel if she couldnt have naruto cause he doesnt feel like he can have her. (its a little selfish IMO)

and yes i totally agree; he will accomplish everythin because remember the kushina flashback, she was telling baby naruto all the stuff she wanted him to do and he did.. As far as sasuke, there are too many factors involved to just "right off the bat" and rescue him... For sakura, I agree with you merryGOflava ...

BTW what is there much to debate at this point? We had the lead for years... and unless Kishi does an 180 NS is all the way! I may sound pessimistic but I cannot think of anything else to say since so much as been said and repeated. Help me out guys...

We really can't debate anything until the next NaruSaku moment happens. All we can do is try and rehash old topics and try and find something new in discussing them. Sure we're in the lead but we're not completely in the clear either. And as much as we debate it really isn't our decision. Kishi could be building up things and then pull the rabbit out of the hat. If any you ever watched Digimon, the makers of the first series did everything to build the relationship between Tai and Sora, and then half way through the second season the makers pulled the rabbit out of the hat. It's not out of the question, unfortunately.

sorry your wrong. i was a big Matt an Sora fan back then and they relationship didn't just happen out of nowhere. since the start of Digimon there were scenes where Matt blushed around Sora and so did she. Matt obviously looked out for her and was there. he helped her get out of the darkensss in one episode too. so the makers just made a decision at that time who shes gonna be with. Mind you Sorato wasn't popular at that time but people liked it.

Narusaku is clear in the lead and the obvious pairing to happen. we are near the end of Naruto and everything, hints, feelings scenes etc. all point to Narusaku. Kishi has been building this realtionship very nicely and theres no point if he dosn't get them together. but Naruto will get the women of his dreams whos like his mother, save his brother, teacher and become hokage.
