It's a good thing I wasn't the only one having a hard time to read this one because it was MP fault. Anyway, that said it goes to show you despite being long (seriously long like 2 and almost an half long), this was a very significant moment that pretty much going to start to change its course. It's like securing one major base in a war, once you win that base, the course will change.

I just laughed when they said their target was Shanks. Like seriously... They do realize they can't even beat Shank's crew, let alone the man himself? Kid only has such a large bounty because he forces the government to make it rise with pointless harm to people. He isn't even on Law's level. I mean, think about it. Luffy, Law, and Kid were all almost on par with one another, and then there was a 2 year time skip. Law and Kid just learned from experience, while Luffy trained with a top 5-10 all time pirate who's seen it all. The fact he thinks he can take on an emperor is funny.

 

Also. Am I the only one annoyed by these alliances? Like... sure you can be friends with another powerful pirate crew, and sure you can drink and eat a feast together sometimes. However, that shouldn't mean you fight warlords and emperors together. You want to go for the strongest, you do it with your crew. You can't be the strongest ever if you can't 1v1. In the end Luffy was stronger than Doflamingo, but it still didn't take away from how stupid him passing out 1 second too early was. He was carried by everyone after that, and you couldn't call it a 1v1. I'm ready to see Law part ways with Luffy and do his own thing. Let Luffy become an emperor with his crew backing him up. Nothing more. The alliances take away from how much I can look forward to a fight. Luffy vs Big Mam sounds 20x more interesting than Luffy and Law vs Big Mam. These headlines saying Luffy and Law beat Doflamingo ticked me off because I know that everything Law did to Doflamingo was almost pointless. And while Doflamingo healed most of what Law did to him, it wasn't like Luffy could heal the beating he took from Bellamy. So in conclusion, as much as this arc made me like Law, they still need to split. I don't care for Kid's pirate alliance because they're all about to die.

 

I do wonder, though. Why did the fiver elders all direct their anger at Luffy instead of Law when they mentioned the alliance beating him. It was as if the elders knew the kind of danger Luffy has been becoming, and knew it must of been him fighting Doflamingo. I really want to know how strong those 5 guys are.

yes i hate the alliance too. luffy should be conquering the new world with his crew, and not with law. i'm scared that oda will continue this alliance by having law with luffy for a long time now, and i definitely don't want that all. more panel time should be for the other straw hats and not freaking law. 

 

oh and i heard a good theory that the five elders are immortal.

Mmm not much to comment this week. it's mostly wrapping up loose ends of the aftermath but i wouldn't say it was boring. We got see Zoro's potential girlfriend after all. Lulz I kinda like the maternal feeling I get for some of the girls in this series.

I like the alliance, because it shows really just how strong the emperors are. It's no different than when they had to team up against the admirals. If it didn't take alliances to beat the emperors, and Luffy could just automatically 1v1 them, then the title of emperor was obsolete to begin with.

Yeah this is actually the dumbest thing they can do. Kid isn't even close to Luffy's level, I think. It's like FY said, his bounty was a tad bit higher than Luffy's because he killed a bunch of innocents, not because he was stronger. He's about to die. Good riddance lol

Yeah I also found it hilarious how the alliance thought decided to go after Shanks of all people, this guy is one of the three remaining emperers, dispite having only one arm, and a regular sized crew, his mere presance halted the war between the Pirates and Marines during the rescue Ace mission.

 

I don't think the Alliance between Mugiwara and Law is a long term one, it was just for this mission, I'm pretty sure that's what Law said when he originally suggested the idea. So after this we'll likely see them go their own ways with each betting they'll be the pirate king. I do see more of this temporary Alliances in the future though, we just have to look at the forces of both Big Momma and Kaida, both appear to have forces that the Mugiwara crew alone would not be able to defeat.

I swear there is another ability in One Piece we haven't heard about yet. The Red-Haired Pirates don't seem to look too strong. Maybe they all have haki, but I don't understand how they're one of the top 5 crews in the world. There is no way a fat guy with a regular pistol can be a top 50 pirate in the world. Makes no sense.

 

These guys have unlocked another inner sense that isn't haki. How does a man with one arm fight off anybody in his way, but isn't called the greatest swordsman alive? Shanks fights with something other than haki and his sword. The same goes for his crew mates.

Nothing much. It's just that Luffy isn't arrogant. Kid is going to die. I kinda hope shanks one shots him and puts him in his place.

i think you need a little bit of arrogance if you want to make a name for yourself in the world. luffy himself went up against aokiji and got humiliated. but he learned from that battle and developed gear 2nd. but shanks isn't as merciful as aokiji, he won't allow this buffoon to walk away, which worries me .

Luffy didn't fight Aokiji out of the belief that he would win, he played Aokiji. In reality, Aokiji is the one that got humiliated, as he himself said. Arrogance is fine to an extent, but that isn't "a little". With his selection of four emperors, this idiot decided to go after the strongest of them all. I hope Kid gets eaten alive. Same for those other rookies, they're gonna get wrecked.
