Maybe she found love and wants to meet him. Hey, that's one way to escape the minefield, despite being rushed. But yes, as I said before, this is equivalent to love triangle solution of killing one off without having a couple already near established. Like if one can't decide but then the other dies, all is solved.

I wish I know the writing, because I am like in a fear position. Granted, Japanese audience will most likely be solid but since I'm in USA with haters easily established by stupidity, I have to worry to lose my joy in discussion thread.

Haha yeah just as i thought it's not gonna be that obvious, i bet in the chapter after this one it was revealed that Erina didn't really hear the conversation so she will remain don't know about who Souma really is.

Bugger, didn't want the spoilers to be true, but it's pretty much confirmed to be true, can only hope she got the back end of the conversation and not the main part, it would be a real anti-climatic way to make this reveal otherwise.

For me of course not. I want Erina to develop her feelings for Souma for what he really is not just because he is the son of Joychiro. Its like Marry Jane fall in love with Peter because he is Spiderman, but Gwen Stacy fall in love with Peter first not because he is a Spiderman. But since the manga is pretty much pointing to that direction ... the author is pretty much saying through his manga that this part is the biggest weapon for Erina and Souma pairing ship, so yeah i want her to know the truth as fast as possible. Because in 2 or 3 years latter when this manga become so popular and its fan base grow so big as big as "You know what manga" , that when the fans starting to control the story of the manga, so better make it as obvious as he can before things get messy.

Well, I don't think that is the case though, especially since Erina herself is in safe haven, way more so than Sakura who is deemed to be hated by all regions. That said that was a smart way to end the chapter and pretty much tells you how significant that plot point truly is. I can't really call anti-climatic if it has a freaking 2 page worth of a moment. It's now up to the very next chapter to see where are we going, and that's a very scary part.

 

Do I want her to know now? No, but in a way, I don't want it to drag forever, so I am mixed about it. It really depends on the path now. It's like Naruto becoming a world peace man, wondering if this is a good idea. It wasn't. God, it wasn't. So I guess I'm like that for this one.

Because if Souma x Erina ship is decided and pretty much 90% cannon, i think it will settle down the fans and will not cause any more trouble to the author getting pressured by the assistant and the studio who said "Hey you should make Souma x Megumi cannon or Souma x Ikumi cannon because fan in the west demands it".

If only kishi makes Naruto x Sakura cannon in pein arc or as soon as possible before things get out of his control, things will not end like this, he will not get pressured by those rabid fans and his assistant or the studio just because money is taking over their head. That is what i'm trying to say. Maybe right now it save ... nobody hates Erina and things is under control buy hey ... you never know what will happen in the future, better save than sorry.

I understand. Erina is still in a much safer position than Sakura ever was, fans and such. The only problem it could occur is toying around for the rest of the manga. I mean there are series that just call it quit in the middle and let the harem remain with no real unnecessary drama. I mean right now, it is when, not if with Sourina. If it becomes an if, then it's clear that the editor control them.

What was the last time a ship legit became true throughout the course of a shounen? Most of the time they just end up together towards the end, right?

Sword Art Online made the Kirito x Asuna ship cannon pretty early, and it seemed to work for the fans. It's like one of the most popular anime couples in Japan.

 

It'd be great if Sourina became cannon sometime throughout the course of the series. We'll get to see their ups and downs during the relationship, maybe even break up once, come back together, get closer, etc. If you introduce it early, doubters and haters will accept it eventually.

It becomes true usually in the beginning as well. So it's either beginning or the end. Funny, eh? Though some happens in the middle but not to the protagonist, in Shounen case at least.

 

Well, this writer is new to me, so I really don't know where this is going for now. I mean I know the endgame, but how is it written is a different story, no pun intended. Maybe it will be next gen School Days. I don't know. Anything goes.

 

Though we don't want that at all.
