Can someone please explain to me why you think NH is dead? because I still think it has a big chance of happening. I keep convincing myself by saying it's dead when it's actually not. I know NS is more developed an all but, still it wont stop Kishi from making NH canon. I'm VERY worried. Also, if NH happens SS will automatically happen as well.
Honestly, I was never really worried about NH to begin with. I've never really considered it being alive or dead, it's just "there" for me, if that makes sense.
In terms of why I doubt it will happen, it's simple. Hinata has never, not one time, thought of Naruto's feelings when it comes tithe relationship, so her "love" (to me) can't even be qualified as love. She hasn't ever stopped to think about Naruto. Since her character is based primarily off of pairing, you would think that she would consider, maybe for a second, that Naruto might like somebody else. She hasn't ever done that. Her goals surrounding Naruto are indicative of that. Whenever she says something, it's all about her. "I will walk by your side, I will hold your hand, I will do this, I will do that...etc"
This is in direct juxtaposition to the relationship between Naruto and Sakura. When it comes to Naruto, he always puts Sakura above himself. His determination to save Sasuke stems from his desire to see Sakura happy (at least in part). He never gives her any reason to let her worry about him. If you remember his conversation with Sai, he said that he couldn't even tell her how he felt about her, due to not being able to fulfill his promise to her.
Sakura is much the same (part 2 Sakura anyway.) She never hesitated to put Naruto's feelings/health first. Examples? The time she kept the info about Orochimaru's spy secret because she was scared of the Akatsuki. The four tails incident. Her worry about the RS. The motivation behind the confession. Her thoughts at the bridge. Her thoughts during the war, when he was putting his life on the line to save everybody. Her thoughts during the CPR scene. When it comes to Naruto, she always puts him over everybody, including herself and Sasuke.
Furthermore, Naruto is the only person that she is herself around. Not only that, but she is always happy because of him. Not only that, but a majority of her development is due to her being around Naruto. This is favorable to NS, while being detrimental to SS at the same time. Naruto loves every aspect of Sakura, including her strength. There has been multiple accounts where he has admired her strength. Sasuke does not care at all, calling her useless, and making her feel like crap constantly. Around Sasuke, she is reserved, not confident, and her character regresses to what it was preshippuden.
More on SS: 3 murder attempts, possibly a fourth if we look at the Madara scene in 676 ( his words in 677 seem to point towards him possibly being content with cutting her in half, since he deemed her useless, and has set the precedent for how he treats people he deems useless), him preparing to leave her to die, as well as the mental abuse she suffers at his hands. Need I say more?

Edit: Also, another thing about NH: why is it Hinata is always taken out of the plot when something is going on? After the pain arc, we didn't see her for another 200 chapters. After 615, she fell off the map. After Naruto died, she tripped, didn't see her again. Naruto is bout to throw down with Madara? Hey Hinata, I'm gonna put you in IT.
