Haha HAHAHAHA oh I'm just field day hearing how bad this movie is doing. Studio Perriot you've failed big time. Your so called genius plan on making NaruHina canon believiable has failed. Most of all, Masashi Kishimoto the fact that you made this movie canon is really really funny. It's so funny that it's so stupid. Haha Haha, too many laughs, but Ria brought up an interesting point, "Had this movie been non-canon I think it would've been passable." and on my end I'd be like "The Last is a good time no alcohol required."

 

However since it is canon I say "It's a good time if you're drunk."

They did tell me it's passable in a laughable way if you ignored that it's based on a manga. But I guess those 8 people who walked out didn't do it, eh?

NS4Life, do you think there's a chance for this movie to get below 2.0 in general scoring? 

 

Unlikely look at the scores that the other movies get on the site in the first five pages, the worst is a 2.0, and then another got a 2.11 I think, but after that the worst is 2.6, from the looks of it for Japan scoring it a 3 would be considered a bad review where in the West for a movie a 3 is considered pretty good. though I am speculating here, someone from Japan would be better off explaining this.

I don't know. I mean that would be like shocking to me. Maybe if it wasn't a fan based movie, it could be pretty low. A lot of people that I talked to say the movie is just 5-6 max. Not pleasing. They also say it's an ok shoujo. Key word: shoujo. But it is one of those it's bad it's good movie. The Room of anime perhaps. Plus you must throw your brain away as one said.

 

Anyway, we'll see. It's the second lowest rated movie. So happy to see RtN being treated good. Dammit, Kishi. You're the Don Bluth of manga.

 

That's one of the primary faults with this movie that Naruto fans are addressing. It doesn't represent or hold up to the general combat-oriented format of the series. Pierrot must have anticipated that the long-time viewers motivated to watch the series for its action might not feel as inclined to attend the premiere of a film that's so disjointed with the manga that you begin to question whether or not it's actually part of the same narrative outside of backdrop, characters, and brand. 

 

Even if you judge it purely as a standalone film that's labeling itself as a romantic drama, it fails to meet up to exclusive standards which Pierrot and Kishi were giving so much emphasis to. When your distanced gimmick of a plot concept has only a mediocre-at-best execution in the eyes of viewers, you know something is wrong. But I hope the viewers and fans don't acknowledge The Last in a way that endorses Pierrot's wishes. Criticise for what it is, a horrid betrayal of the manga and even the anime containing everything that never existed or was foreshadowed or supported in this story.

At least Sakura's power-up made sense in context even if we knew little about her training for it... But Hinata's power-up literally came out of no where, there was no level above the Byakugan in the manga ever mentioned.

It's funny. Long ago, we used to debate on how it works or what's possible. Now, I see a good friend sharing the same view. You're right. The funny thing is that in RtN, I see it can work for both audience. The funny thing is, I always say the end can be changed by making NS canon and it will flow just as good. So yeah, like I said, anything can happen.
