Close enough. That's still fairly impressive for a series that's three months completed and has been receiving a considerable amount of flack.

Naruto Volume 72 was released, and we have its first weekend sales figures and ranking.

Badly? Well I don't read either series, so their general success is a mystery to me. Naruto is still probably in the top 5.

1) One Piece
2) AoT
3) Naruto

So it's not like 1>2>3 in sales. It's more like 1>2>>>>>>>>>>>>3

People are more interested to see if AoT can dethrone it.

The last OP volume had 2million copies sold in its first week.
In 10+ years, when the last OP volume will be sold, it's gonna be another record.

Discontent, but nothing universal or widely agreed upon? That's what it sounds like.

Well, it has a name that has been around for a while, good or bad. Like many have said, look back at two years ago, there were a lot of drops in sales and I remember trying to defend it. I pretty much bs my way in there because in reality, Naruto was falling. It won't fall greatly like only 200,000 but it wasn't like before. It used to a debate argument on who's better with Naruto and One Piece. Now, that seems like a good joke to say.

Plus, people here have been saying that it was a slow week for manga releases, no other big series. We may not know how good or bad this is until the next time rankings are released (unless anyone else can clarify this?)

Fun fact: FMA got a better boost end hype than Naruto. Wow, seems unreal to see AoT just another manga like low sales. It goes to show you that many series may not be popular but that doesn't mean they aren't good. Not just AoT, but for any series.
