The only way he could ever be a flaw is if you seriously expect him to beat Naruto and claim Sakura as his "prize"

Like you I won't call Sasuke a flaw either he is more like an Elephant in the way of NS since they are more focus in helping him with his issues before they can move forward with their live.

Hi everyone! :) It's nice to find a place that is free from  Sakura haters. I lurked for some time here, and I like that while you do like Sakura, you don't ignore her bad traits.

 

I wanted to share a post I saw on DA and see your opinion on it. :)

 

 

See, people heavily rely on the scanlation sites so much, they don't bother to read the OFFICIAL translations that are released by Viz/Shonen Jump Alpha.

Kushina's ACTUAL advice: "Don't fall for the first girl you see. Find someone like me." It's a contradicting statement. The beginning bit is actually Anti-NaruSaku oriented. Sakura is the FIRST girl that Naruto liked. You're implying that Kishi trolled NaruHina, but really, did he? There's all this focus on the here and now, and it usually should be, but there are previous chapters that need to be considered here. Hinata boldly stated in chapter 573 that once the war was over, she'd be walking hand in hand with Naruto. Guess what? The war isn't over yet. She has yet to fulfill that aspect. It's important to her character, because Naruto is a key figure in her development. They also share the same nindo, which is never going back on your word. If she doesn't do exactly what she said she was going to do, that's not going to look good on her record.

Things aren't leaning towards Hinata going back on her convictions. The hand holding scene is an apparent "troll" yet..

Kishi once again reminded us of it, and put emphasis on it. Proving more and more that the panels of their interaction had deeper meaning, aside from the overused argument that it was just for chakra transfer. On top of the fact it's backed up by the volume 64 cover, depicting Hinata and Naruto holding hands..(Minus the two of them being shrouded with Kurama's chakra, whereas literally everyone else is. It was symbolic. It further reinforced that this was more than just chakra transfer.) Hinata obviously feels confident about herself and Naruto. It would make no sense to have her being lead on, only to have Naruto turn her down in the end. All signs are pointing to her feelings being reciprocated in the future.

 

If there's anything else I can add, it's this. Minato has yet to interact with Hinata, and it WILL happen. Kishi would not have Minato overlook the one girl that has loved and cherished his own son since day 1. The situation is simply waiting to present itself. Once he gets wind of Hinata's dedication to Naruto, the possibilities of what could happen are endless.

 

So whats your opinion on this? Especially the part that Kushina words were not translated as we thought.

Welcome milan kyuubi! Now there are probably more qualified ppl to answer ur question, but i'll take a stab at it. 

 

1) For any of that to be true, the actual viz translation would have to well... actually say that. Which I don't believe is true, I would have to see it for myself. 

 

2) Honestly to me its just a cover and quite frankly if Kishi wanted a serious moment between Naruto and Hinata then it wouldnt have been done under guise of giving chakra. 

 

3) If Minato saw Hinata what do you expect him to say? And why would Kishi do the same scene twice, thats just poor work. If he wanted to do it with Hinata he would have. 

 

 

Now thats settles I had a question, I read something on a forums, but I dont think its true can someone clarify.

 

Did Tsuande ever comment on how Sakura cares/likes Naruto? Kind of like what Yammato did?

The first post you quoted i won't bother to respond to as i'll leave that to the other guys here... (i dont have the time for it atm)

 

1) This what your posted above is... ok ill start with the Minato interacting with Hinata.. This person seems very confident this will happen but straight away this person's agrument isn't 100% correct. Hinata didn't "love/fangirl" him from day 1, i'm very certain she fell in love with Naruto after an event (someone correct me if i'm mistaken)

 

2) Hinata loving and cherishing Naruto? she only reveals or acts on this when he is about to die somehow. When i first read 615 i actually thought Hinata was about to shine and show she isn't just revolved around Naruto. As i turned the page and i first layed my eyes on the "Naruto Kun's Hands make me feel safe" line i instantly felt pity for Hinata's character. My point is, Hinata takes "loving and cherishing" and turns it into fangirling and stalking. It really is.

 

I feel sorry for Hinata, she has become practically what Sakura was to Sasuke in part 1 but to the point that she is dangerous to have on the field due to Hinata doing stupid and reckless things if Naruto is hurt. (Pain fight -> 8 tails kuruma). I really do feel Kishi has regressed Hinata to what Sakura was in part 1 to Sasuke on purpose....

 

3) I'm generally not understanding why this person believes Minato will assosiate Hinata to Kushina because they have NO similarities at all...

 

Could someone re-affirm that Kushina says "find a girl like your mother"

 

And the "Don't fall for the first girl", i guess this person is right as Naruto has fallen for Sakura, which means Sakura is this first girl.

 

4) Conclusion: This argument is so flawed it's stupid to respond to it... but here i am..... but i do respect the opinion this person has.

The sentence in orignal is abosolutely clear. Screw VIZ and their biased translation.

It's surprising how a fan translation group such as Mangastream can act in a more impartial and professional manner with their translations than a licensed corporation. Thank goodness that NaruSaku.com has members who have an understanding of the Japanese language and can provide a more literally precise rendition of the manga.

First thing I will say is that we have Japanese fluent speaker who went over the raw scan to conform what was actually said in those panel, what you see here is another attempt from some fans who rely on a translation that help their pairing, many times you will see them using Manga Panda when it says something they feel more comfortable with or they will switch to Manga stream or Viz if what the translation says support what they are saying in their argument. While they will completely ignore Native speakers that even at sometime stated that they preferred Hinata character over Sakura.

 

About The Minato meeting Hinata, well Hinata was close to Naruto for many chapter but Minato didn't enter the scene until Sakura was next to him Kishi even went out of his way to make Sakura behave a way she hasn't behave for god know how long just for Minato to connect her resembles to Kushina not to mention that the moment kushina told Naruto her story it was a carbon copy of how Naruto and Sakura relationship started in the beginning of the Manga. So if Kishi really wanted Hinata to be the one introduced to Minato then nothing was stopping him from doing that, the Manga was an obvious MK NS parallel and if that wasn't enough he made a movie and if that still wasn't enough he had Minato stated out load.

 

If NH was Kishimoto intended pairing then he would clearly connect Hinata character to a more understanding level to Naruto not even Sasuke's return seems to bother Hinata that alone shows you how disconnected Hinata is from one of Naruto biggest aspect of his character.

 

About the nindo stuff Hinata copy Naruto's nindo she never born with it, she wanted to be like him so she adopted his personality of never give up, not to mention nany characters wonder if there is something between Naruto and Sakura but Hinata the one who has being stalking him for so long has never wonder about his feelings or worst about his goals, is all about her wanting Naruto or her wanting Naruto to acknowledge her.

So unless Kishimoto values personal desire over bond, friendship, understanding then I don't see a believable way for NH to be canon since he spend so much time emphasizing how Naruto and Sakura relationship develop and how much they care about each other happiness, plus the story is about Naruto's journey not Hinata's.

It's funny I read that NH fans stated that NS is like a Manzai couple, a tyipical comic duo very clichè in Japan.

631 was all comic and jokes, 632 confirmed Sakura's love for Sasuke since he fangirled to him and Naruto was upset because he was ignored by her despite he also saved her, 633 reaffirmed that NH is still the main pairing and Naruto is love with her because he squeezed her hand and have smiled to her...

 

I guess we must close this forum because they've already decided that NH is canon and NS is just a creepy comical and fraternal couple.

 

Sorry for the outburst but sometimes some kinda certain situations are really unthinkable...

You know what I do each time I log in on NF?

Never visit the ANS FC SS FC or and worst the NH FC and the most vocal fans and the ones who constantly twist fact to use it to favor their view I add them to my ignore list. the problem is that I read all that stuff in telegrams, so sometimes it's inevitable to read some certain and unpleasant things, even though I admit that some of those are really funny and amuse me but I really pissed off when I read that NS was like a Manzai couple. That crap has nothing with this kinda couple!

I dont understand we they hire people who actually read/indorse in the manga enough to twist and alter what is said by Kishi to favour their pairing. They should hire people who translate and don't have any attachments to the manga = unbais and fair

I will make more easy about that sentence "I wish that you won't be caught in a weird woman...... Please... look up... a woman like your mother". The fact that Kushina expressed a her wishes here...

I read your post wrong. I doesn't sound strange as in grammar mistakes, but it sounds like something one would say in the old days.

something like that has been translated by your country's version. especially about the first sentence they have translated in this way: " Don't fall for the first girl..." :/

 

Btw I don't give about that...We're the underdogs in this world, the only who is at our side is Kishimoto, no less...

As a Native Japanese I'm pissed off that a licensed company has dared to twist Kishi's words, taking it for granted that the Western readers can't understand Japanese and making their own story. If all the Japanese mangakas hard work are going to be twisted by the licensed companies that translate and sell them, then I'd prefer that it never goes out of Japan in the first place.

六道's translation is a lot better than the one's from official translators...I wonder why it's like that? I hope it's not something as immature as preferring a pairing over another.

 

A smoother direct translation is "I hope you won't be stuck with a weird woman...please fine a woman like your mother."

 

In the first part, Kushina uses a word that referrs to a bad "tied down" relationship. A relationship with someone who holds on in a discomforting sense.

 

Any translation besides this, things like "not going for the first woman", is wrong. There is nothing in the raw that says anything like that. Viz (not sure about other official translations) need to get it together.

you know what's the point here? Even in the version of my country (italy), they've translated in this way "Forget the good-nothing....Find someone like your mother..." Even it isn't all wrong, that still leaves me a little puzzled O_o That translator is even a jap native speaker.
