The pairing wars in Naruto are stupid. Fans act like its a romance ehen its a action slash adventure.

Of course it is ! Because Kishi sucks at writing ! And what can we say now about that, when we see that everything is about "pairings" in this manga now !

You don't think they look good together? Well I think it's the complimentary colors and contrast, purple black + orange yellow and pink red + black blue. NH/SS fans complain that pink and orange "clash".

I'm with you, I think, aesthetically speaking, NH, SS, and NS all look pretty good. But like you said, that's not enough reason to ship.

 

I hate to admit it, but speaking solely from a visual standpoint, I liked the way Hinata was drawn more in 700 than Sakura.

Sadly, I think that's how a lot of (western) fans look at pairings, at least first and foremost - how they look together physically.

Like, not to turn this into any kind of vs. argument or anything, when I ask people what exactly they see is so great about, for example, Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne as a pairing in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny, one of the first and/or only reasons people can seem to give is that "they look cute together".(Neither series really had them displaying any kind of interaction or development that, myself personally anyway, would describe as "romantic" as opposed to Athrun Zala and Cagalli Yula Atha. Friendship? Definitely, but hard to really say boyfriend/girlfriend or lovers or anything.)

Kishimoto himself said there was "more to girls than cuteness" when designing Sakura, then he turns around and tries to make her prettier for popularity. What a hypocrite.

I find Sakura much more appealing in Shippuden, especially in her war arc gear. But I was talking just about the epilogue. Something about the way Kishi drew Sakura's face with that bandana dusting just seemed weird to me. Granted it's just one panel each to compare, but I liked Hinata more. It wouldn't surprise me if Kishi was more meticulous with her, though.

It's not about color...just look at 700's Naruto! That guy doesn't look good with anyone!
