Good examples of well-done pairings are Ed & Winry from Full Metal Alchemist, yeah I'm biased for FMA. No stupid love rivals or one-sided crushes. The romance was put well into the story without disrupting it.

Rurouni Kenshin was good at it too, even if Megumi tried to get in between Kenshin and Kaoru, until she realized Kenshin was in love with kaoru, not her.

guess I've missed alot, hello everyone, been taking a break from naruto related things and been trying a series my friend introduced me to, history's greatest disciple kenichi, I'm surprised I didn't know about it with it going on for 12 years, and the fact that it had a good ending whereas naruto a series 3 years longer had a bad ending, I haven't actually read the ending to kenichi yet but I've heard about it, I still have 200+ chapters to read xD

I've read them, and I have to say even though people seem to hate ronxhermoine and harryxginny, I've never had a problem with any of it, and ron was ALOT better in the books than the movies, the movies messed alot of things up, like what happened to dealing with the giant spider thing in deathly hallows, they could have had it in 3 parts and had everything covered but nope, they still left out too much in the deathly hallow movies. and the harryxginny couple actually had development, alot of which was in book 6, then the rest in book 7, in just about all the movies they leave out alot of good parts in the books, I'd say the first few movies were okay but the last few were bad about it

 

Some dumbass on a Naruto forum said Naruto was better than Harry Potter because it focused on "romantic love" and all these bullsh*t crushes while HP focused on boring "family love".  This kitten obviously doesn't love his family or have any depth to him other than wanting p*ssy or staring at Hinata's t*ts.  YA'LL HEAR THAT!??  This kitten says Naruto is better than Harry Potter BECAUSE of all the horrible unrequited crushes and trashy love triangles!!  Now, HP isn't perfect but only an idiot would think that Naruto is better!!!  Naruto is one of the trashiest lamest animes I've ever seen and nothing can compare to that monstrosity.  I think that lame weeboo was just mad that HP is a far more successful franchise than Naruto will ever be and that one Harry Potter movie made more money than the entire sh*tty Nardo franchise combined.  

 

Gawd...another proof that these people are just spoilt teenagers who don't understand a thing about life (and literature)...

Manga or not, family  is way more important than anything else, plus, Naruto is known to have the kittentiest love triangle in all the literary universe, so they should stop spewing kitten just like Kishi does.

Plus this is like comparing JK Rowling to Kishi... like...seriously ???? o_o 

 

 

I'm not surprised, I kinda figured as much since they hated road to ninja and refused to watch it just because sakura and naruto had moments even when I told them it was meant to be a family movie and they were letting their pairing crap cloud their judgement....*sigh* this fandom....

Shirou and Rin in Fate's Unlimited Blade Works route is good too.

Admittedly, most "romance" anime I've seen is largely harem and/or comedy based, so not a whole lot of "development" par ce, much less conclusive (in terms of the harem ones anyway), lol. Though, one good one was the anime version of Mashiro-iro Symphony, where the MC actually DOES choose one of the girls in the middle (*GASP!*) and they actually show the sadness of two of the other girls who liked him afterwards and it's actually pretty sad and you feel for them.
