They would've been higher if Naruto was more popular than the other stories.

Last time we all checked, it's the same as the movie in that scene. So no. We read it before movie.

He didn't from what I recall there was the lines from that scene that junko refused to say in that book but it mainly from what i recall was him realizing and agreeing with Sakura that Hinata was the most important thing in his life and he is entirely devoted to her or something like that. If he confessed to her in that scene i don't recall because it been a few months.

 

But it doesn't matter because between the book and the movie the book is canon or is at least higher in the levels of canon. It's the same with any novelization for any movie. Sure something in the book might be done better but it's the movie that matters because the what everyone going to see first.
