Well that sucks. I remember in one episode of top 10 best lines, that was the first time I saw it and I was like "Them quality is amazing!!!" Funny because Shinpachi said the same thing. Wonder why it's missing...

Today is an important day guys. I officially, FINALLY caught up with the anime. No more asking: "Did you catch up yet, Trangay?" What looks like snails tempo to Ryo and co, is still an accomplishment for me. 304 episodes of Gintama under my belt now. kittening proud of myself.

Not sure yet if I will catch up with the manga, but even if I decide to, it'll prob take a while since I want to enjoy the anime as much as possible.

Not sure what my next long anime will be, but it looks like it'll be either Legend of The Galactic Heroes or JoJo.

When it's all else, I give up and just go, "Oh well..." When it's Gintama, ain't no stopping me now! I found it.

Oh I missed that. Well, for me, I'm taking a break on long series. Just too much work to be stuck on one series. I know the other series and I can only comment on JoJo. Some are really good, some are good, mainly due to adaptation. NU01 can fill you in.

I know the other series, but again, not planning for another long ass journey. My resolution is to focus all the short series, the ones I missed out last year and soon this year. Plus, I don't know if it is a case of worth its score or overrated, so I can't really comment on it.

i think it's quite convenient to troll viewers in this show, i think they could be really going for it but have no more budget left, and so they waited to see if fans would support it, if not they won't do it.

We weren't even supposed to get season 3 but boom.

Did you know that Gintama was right behind Naruto in highest franchise sales last year and it started to roll out in mid-year. You have to do math in order to see why that's amazing, but recall that Naruto sold more in manga and have so many novels as well The Last released on DVD/Blu-Ray, and so on, yet Gintama was just tail away from it and that don't even have novels that are recently new. Those twitter guys aren't lying, it's a franchise with a hidden popularity.

I guess this episode settles it: Takasugi was never truly a villain. Just an anti-hero.

Also, how come Katsura's personality in his childhood is such a contrast to his present day personality? It's like he went from mature & calm to childish & crazy XD

To be honest, I remember seeing opening 1 and 2 and some clips and thought, "It looks fun." But I never watched it at the time, of course. I forgot what opening of Naruto it was, but it got me curious on openings from other series. Then I saw Gintama opening 5 and thought, "What the???? Wait? Why it looks deadly? And cool? Is this a troll????" Until last year, I didn't understand what is Gintama.

Also, it's top 4 at Crunchyroll behind the most popular ones in USA (ongoing).

I guess I just started it b/c... actually, I don't remember. But I think it was b/c Ryo said she was getting into it, and I saw some funny clips on tumblr.

I have nothing against KyoAni. The studio has one of the most beautiful animationstyles, but sometimes the studio is misusing that ability for moe kitten. Phantom World seems to be a universally hated anime in the community.

Not really. Anime nowdays is just kitten. That's all. They should stop with the moe and lolli kitten. Those two things are worse than fanservice. And stop with the light novel adaptarions. Instead, they should animate some of those classics. Parasyte was a great adaptation, and that was from 1988 or so.
Oh well, this year we're getting Berserk (cg... Why?!) and Steins; Gate Zero. Greatness is coming!!!

Oh there's a lot of hype for this year. It's just we have to deal with some of those once again, the time where it ended my joy for anime for a long time. But nevertheless, the popularity choice is still bothersome as in care more about those more so than real effort. I hope it doesn't bite back bad.
