Just out of curiosity: Anyone find that "..I've just become one of them..." to have some sort of signifigance? Just catches my eye, that's all

Right before that she was saying how the people in the village had come to love and cherish naruto as their hero. Sakura is just saying she has become one of them in thinking this way about him. Sort of redundant, since Sakura has cared about Naruto at least that much since the end of part I.

Well, i just reckon that naruto is still fixated on the idea of sakura loving sasuke, hes just being too oblivious to sakuras feelings for him, hopefully she will be able to smack the fact that she loves him into him (and possibly with sai providing backup)

hmm, your right. I never concentrated much on other pairings besides the glorified . Anyway, I would say Kiba was the most irritated whenever Hinata turned red and heartstuck when she saw/talked/thought of Naruto. I would say Kiba was jealous?

but sakura knows naruto wouldnt let that fly since he's been so gung ho on "saving him", despite the fact that he's done kitten that is really screwing up the world. so i think sakura wanted to try to convince naruto to give up on sasuke with the promise of her love, and given how's she spoke, which is pretty genuine. but i think naruto knows she hiding something.

I couldn't have said it better. She loves Naruto, but it doesn't hide the fact that she is also trying to remove the burden that she had placed on him in part I.

reading other forums I am amazed as always of the level of Sakura hate there is out there, man is she ever taking a beating

people really need to realize that though entertaining these are just manga characters and expounding that level of vitriol for a make believe character is stupid.

I know I don't like sasuke right now but only because I find him utterly uninteresting these people are on a whole different level

So Basically Sakura knows that Naruto wont give up the POAL without good reason and no matter what his main driving force to achieve it is to make Sakura happy. If She can prove to Naruto that she would be more happy with him than with sasuke then it will be all good.

so from what we can tell she has failed on making him believe she is more happy with him.
What can she do?

sakura knows naruto loves sasuke like a brother and will continue to try to save him, regardless of what he's done. and she knows he wouldnt be happy about his friends deciding that they have to take him out. so she thought she could get him to give up on going after him by offering him what he always wanted.
