I'm just not sure why everyone is talking about Sasuke being pardoned! He is at the Kage meeting about to try and kill the Hokage! Come on!

I'm not one saying it. I want the kill order to remain. He's a missing-nin, and has proven himself over and over and over again, to be a highly dangerous threat to just about anyone who crosses his path.

That is because no one knows about is intentions escept that for them he's still in Akatsuki. Naruto thinksthat he can redeemed.

But ya know...I can see it happening. One of Naruto's biggest themes is to redeem every bad guy/girl on the planet. Even if that person only had one single terrible/evil thought, in swoops Naruto to make them all good again. This pic perfectly illustrates my point:

Even Pain one of the so-called 'ultimate' bad guys, got 'some sense knocked into him' by Naruto. So, in the end I can see Kishi making Sasuke change. Probably at the very last minute. And doing something like sacrificing himself to save Naruto from some uber death blow.

But really, I don't see Sasuke turning good until the LAST panel of the LAST chapter. Until then, he's a big ungrateful murderer who doesn't see his friends as his friends.

I'd like to point out though..... Most of these guys Naruto saved, didn't know what could be had... Sasuke knew, and threw it away on his own. He is EVERY single thing Naruto stands against, and the total oppisite of every theme of the manga. Sasuke is very much final true villian material.

Naw, I can see it happening too - Gaara was a murderous psychopath before Naruto beat some sense into him, and he's turned out pretty well In fact I'd be quite surprised if Naruto never got to Sasuke and changed his mind, at least a little. And you can't say Sasuke hasn't been a bit screwed over in the head. He's definitely someone who has chosen the wrong path, rather than someone innately evil. In my opinion, he's just never learned to think about others, while Naruto has grown more selfless as the story progressed (as have other characters... growing out of selfishness is kind of growing up, I guess). Sasuke's character seems to have gone backwards, almost - and he's definitely a villain at the moment at least, you can tell by the way he's drawn.

Yes, back on topic! Umm, Mizukage is still hot, Temari's fan is a bit big, Raikage is still a beast, and Shizune still doesn't do a whole lot. =)

I forgot, I want to add something about the Sasuke "Redemption" plan... its gonna happen sooner or later but in order for it to happen, it needs to "crush" him seriously. Something like a psychological effect. If any of you can't understand what I mean, here's the simple version...

... if many of you don't see it, Sasuke has a huge ego (somewhere recently he's bringing to the assumption that his clan are superior) and want things his way. Now if Naruto managed to break that ego badly enough that can crush Sasuke's ego, then the redemption can be done for him. But I'm not sure if Kishimoto really want to extent Sasuke's character now more into a full-fledge villian. It may happen though, since there are signs (hint: look after the Killer Bee fight with Sasuke, eyesight is becoming blurry soon...).

I really don't see the scene as Sai puttingon a guilt trip for Naruto. It's one of those situations where Sakura knew Naruto liked her, she always had. But Sai's talk made her realize the the exent of his feelings for her were more than she could have ever imagined. To put her happiness before his own, and to make his sacrifices and not telling her to protect her feelings.

And when Sai asks "Naruto is suffering because of Sasuke but... what about you?" It could possibly mean that he's asking Sakura (because she's crying) who her tears are for? Are they because of her feelings for Sasuke and wanting to bring them back, or because she can't bear the thought of Naruto making those sacrifices.

Could this be the Sakura arc? Where she develops more as a character and grows up from an emotional standpoint. We all knew at some point she would come to a crossroads where she would have to make a decision about her true feelings.

Agreed! I also think we'll see a lot of development from Sakura in the upcoming chapters. I have no idea what she'll try to do if she goes to catch up with Naruto, but it's inevitable that the two of them will bump into Sasuke at the Kage meeting and try to stop him. Again. We might not see any significant talk/confession/naughtiness until after Sasuke has been fought, and it's still possible that something could happen that keeps them separated for a long period of time.

Which would mean a long wait, spent tearing out our hair. XD
