Yeah, I love The Boiling Rock. Definitely two of my favorite episodes of the whole series. I've watched both episodes at least five times.

I agree. They both sort of used her. I am glad Katara is has a more "harsh" side and we've finally gotten a taste of it. Again, I do think that her keeping her guard up from the past few episodes (which again is totally natural and I would too in her situation), is in a way smart of her. :thumbs:

I dunnooooo, Krisk. May and Tai-Lee may be down, but they're not out. Seriously, a few pokes, and they can escape. Tai-Lee can run on the gondella rope easily, carrying May with her. May'll be back, with a VENGEANC. For her boyfriend, whom she loves more then she fears Azula. Even Tai-Lee turned against Azula, and she did uber pokes of DEWM on her.

Yeah, they'll be back. Or, Zuko will go after them. Like Soka did for his dad and Suki. True love. :teehee:

Zuko and Sokka, the greatest team up ever! I mean think about it, they bonded, they trusted each other since Zuko changed sides, they're both relatively smart people and finally, Sokka and Zuko are both pretty good foils for each other.

And Zuko's Iroh-like speech was awesome, even though it didn't make sense...

I actually saw the: "The Western Air Temple" and "The Firebending Masters"

....about....Errr....4-5 months ago.

And it came out....in CANADA. (The internet is a wonderous thing, is it not? )

So this last week of stuff is pretty signifigant to me...(since there won't be any more episodes. )

I'm excited to see what all happens in the end.

Yeah, me too. But Harry Potter 7 was, like the ending of Avatar, long waited for. At first I thought Aang looked silly, but with hair I think he looks awesome.

uhhh first off, i was joking of course. Katara and Zuko have like 5 episodes left, and i doubt Katara is like that-- to just go jump in somebodies' pants. She's 14.

second off, i sincerely doubt that they would bring Mai or Ty Lee back into the fight. That would just be a waste of time and plot. The whole point of the final battle is to have the main good guys fighting Ozai and Azula-- they're not gonna bring back Mai/Ty Lee just cause they're characters.

furthermore, they already had their limelight when they acted out of line and betrayed Azula. Now they're better off in prison with EACHOTHER-- Mai was extremely lucky to find such a compassionate and trustworthy companion in Ty Lee-- someone CARES for her. And I don't think they'll give any more screentime to those two cause all this time the only thing they needed to do was betray Azula. Now that they've done that, they're story's over.

third off, if she does come back with a "vengeance" that's fine with me-- but only cause she loves her boyfriend?

my disappointment for her would completely shoot through the roof.

it's a bad misconception to be teaching the younger generation (who is the main audience) that you should do things for the sake of what others do. not because you think it's right or wrong, but to do it cause the people you love do it? BAH.

that's why i dislike the Maiko pairing so much; it came the WTF outta no where for instance, and all that time when they were dating, Mai would brush everything that Zuko wanted to talk about-- everything that he was internally conflicted with off. And now, in TBR epps, she said the whole time "what you're doing is wrong" or "why did you leave? You don't even have a reason."

she does NOT understand why Zuko had to do what he did. So, i still don't see how Maiko's gonna happen when she has yet to understand and accept the new Zuko-- the REAL Zuko.

she loves him? Pfff. Loves his fruit tarts more like it.

Omg, that was one of my favourite episodes! My respect for Katara has officially grown over nine thousand! I knew she'd pick the right thing to do! And I'm so glad that she finally has made a step to friendship with Zuko by forgiveness!

Not to mention how awesome Zuko's fire bending has become with that little fight between him and Azula!! I was like, "ZOMG!" Wish it could of been longer.

Zuko's question to Aang is still running through my head! ..What will you do when you get to my father? Or something along those lines.

I still love the Zuko and Sokka moments of that episode.
The second Zuko walked into that tent that Sokka was in I was basically like WTF?

I know that Zuko and Aang are were possibly going to be good friends but with someone like Sokka, they're almost like brothers, Sokka's the loony guy while Zuko's the straight man. I'm kinda surprised Zuko hasn't hit Sokka over the head with a random object like everyone else has done so far.

Oh and I expect to see a bunch of Zutara fics and art in the next 24 hours because of this episode. I don't support them but call it a hunch.

And I want more Toph in these episodes! because she is awesome!

Whee...... I'm a bit slow in watching the new episode, but it was AWESOME!!! I actually watched it on tv instead of on the net this time around... and I have to say that I squeed over the Zuko firebending scenes and the last Zuko/Katara hug scene. ^^ Now I'm super hyped about tomorrow's episode (and all its funnies) and the Saturday finale/movie!

Also, the Zuko firebending scenes reminded me of the new Star Wars game, Force Unleashed. It just... felt like it, with all of the running, jumping and falling and everything.

Zuko vs. Azula = Epic. Seriously, that fight was incredible. And the part where Zuko came back up on the top of the war balloon? There are no words awesome enough to describe it.

Sokka's tent scene = hilarious. I was busting a gut laughing from the moment Zuko encountered Suki to the point when they started talking about Sokka and Katara's mother. And then again when Zuko "left". Way to sneak it by the kids, guys. Hehehe.

Zuko and Katara interaction = also hilarious, if only for the reaction that it's going to get out of so many people. Seriously guys, you realize this episode was a deliberate tease and it's the most you're ever going to get, right?


In all seriousness though, it did tie up some loose ends between the two of them. It wouldn't have felt right if Katara just fell into accepting him like everybody else after everything that's happened, and this was a good way to help her get over that. Plus, we get more backstory and the question of what happened to their mother is finally answered. Though if he killed her instead of taking her prisoner, I'd like to know where her body was when Katara and Hakoda got back to the house. Or maybe just saying she was "gone" was their way of writing around death yet again, even though we all know what happened. It beats being sent to "another dimension", anyway.

I thought it was funny how Aang commented on the fact that it was Katara's "turn" to go on a trip with Zuko. I was thinking about that myself, and I like that they decided to just blatantly point it out instead of trying to just be subtle and natural about it (which would have just made it all seem contrived).

I agree on the Toph issue. She hasn't gotten nearly enough screen time in the last four episodes. In fact, since Zuko burned her feet, she's barely done anything. As the most awesome character (barely beating out Suki, now), this is a crime and a travesty. They'd better make up for it in the finale is all I can say.

haha I cant wait for the Zutarians to come out saying that "its destiny" now! lol The episode was a great way for them to build friendship. Platonic friendship, nothing more.
