I know everyone is shouting sexism because of the girls... but can't it also be sexist for the guys? I mean it's basically saying guys never keep their eyes on one girl

Sure. An implication that a woman isn't a good person if she changes her mind about an abusive relationship can be seen just as bad if it's about a guy instead of a girl.

Cultural divide? EXCUSE ME?First, I don't think I can call Kishi a sexist. Stuff gets lost in translation, and the cultural divide comes into play here. More than anything, I think he is just incredibly ignorant. And I don't think we need to say things about how he must be terrible to his wife and child etc. That's his personal life, it isn't any of our business. His writing capability or lack thereof is what we are fair to criticize.

There is no excuse for Kishi to make NH/SS canon.
I'm more inclined to believe "I made them canon because reasons" then what we just got

So... what's the plan?
I do plan on writting a letter to him... each year from now on. I know it may be useless but kitten it, I am giving it a shot.
My wishes and hopes is that once he get's enough rest and refreshed, he should pull a Battle Angel:Last Order in naruto, basically retaking the series from a point where he didnt like it and continue it for a while "it doesnt have to be serialized for many years, 2 would be just about right" and in the process change the ending to a suitable one.
And no, no kittening NH/SS, this is ridiculous. It's the first shounen jump manga that has the protagonist and the heroine going for silver medal, and all because of a secondary character that barely talked.
This was $$$$ ploy for the movie. That's my only explanation.

Cultural divide? EXCUSE ME?
Can people just stop with this Kishi=representative of Japanese people?
Not all of us are misogynists like Kishi. Thank you very much.
Rest assured, generalizing the japanese wasn't my intent, I apologize if I offended you

She should have given up on Sasuke for Ino, maybe got together with Lee because he likes her right? Now that I think about it, the rage we've been feeling wouldn't have been anywhere near what it is, if LeeSaku had happened...He's always been nice to her, and it would be a representation of how her charactor has grown to o from someone who she liked for his looks to someone who she was repulsed by on first sight. I wouldn't have liked it, but I know I would have actually been Okay with it.i
i always had one part of me who wanted leesaku to become canon just for the reasonn you said in the third line

Do you know how the japanese people are taking this thing? Are they generally upset? Are they droning and praising kishi? Or do they also call it a sell out?
I wish that the fan base of the world could unite or freely communicate, specially the japanese one with the western one. I feel like the western looks up to the japanese fans because they feel like they are the ones with the power to influence things on this sort of matter.

I think Kishi is more like saying It's easier for guys to move on and fall out of love and in love with someone else. Yet the entire manga showed us guys who only ever loved one woman. Minato only loved Kushina, Jiraiya only ever loved Tsunade. Obito only loved Rin, and Yahiko only loved Konon.

Kishimoto... finding a way to offend just about everyone.
Don't guy and gals not casual date in Japan? I find that hard to believe they don't, and buy into this "cultural differences" arguement. Granted it's not the same thing as love, but honestly the only "love" that exist in this story canon wise is what Kishimoto has to tell us is so.

"Made in the USA"
B-But they're from Scandinavia? I- I don't get it. What? What does the United States have to do with dragons and Scandinavia? And what does an incredibly crappy song from a crap artist have to do with something as wonderful as How to Train Your Dragon and that wonderful pairing within it?!

Did Nomura make Kairi love Riku? I know Riku loved her.And it's actually a Love triangle like NaruSakuSasu...
