If Kishi made the lion share of the money from the movie then I'd believe he'd sell out his manga but highly doubt that's the case. The studio makes the most money off a movie, so why would Kishi leave them with the ability to end his story.

Meh, I think it was used to highlight the fact that they were on the same page again, to show that their broken bond had finally been repaired and they were connected like they used to be in part 1.

 

But that still doesn't make it less weird. Its almost like a handhold. Handholding between boys of 5-8 years is okay but these guys are 16. Its just creepy lol

True... what do you think will happen with NS and this chapter? I think this is a set up for her to come in and heal them. Especially since she woke up YESTERDAY evening..Next week is going to be utter hell.

nope. people want naruto to win the fight physically. he has to 1up sasuke or else it's bs writing.

After this though, Sasuke will worship Naruto like a god. In my opinion, that's the biggest 1up anyone could get.

Well jokes aside, this was a good conclusive chapter, now all we need to see is how the ending plays out. If anything, now I am excited about the ending, next week, naruto may just confess to sakura, I mean now the promise is something he had fulfilled. Still there isn't reason for Sasuke to be on sakura, that's for sure, but naruto fulfilling the promise may just happen now. Likewise it was kinda shocking to see what happened to their arms, geez, Sakura's going to have a lot of work to patch that stuff up.

Not the best chapter but finally Sasuke is out of kitten mode, but still this is what his development had been leading to, for naruto to turn him back. Still doesn't make up for the past and lack of stuff with him like in SS but yeah I feel ns may get it's due in the final 2 chapters next week.

I think its really just setting up a scenario where Sakura shows up and stitches their arms together to save them. That way, there is no need to choose and everybody (except NH) wins.

I just don't understand how they aren't dead. No charka, no arm, and laying around bleed while have suffered a variety of injuries. And wouldn't the blast have blown them away from each other?

I agree. The result of the physical fight really wasn't important. This was about the clash of ideas, which Naruto won.

Well, didn't quite get what wanted with this chapter. But at least the fight is finished. We'll see how next week plays out. 

 

Please let Sakura heal Naruto first and OVA happen.

The two scenarios are contextually different though. Sakura cursed her own incompetence and hesitation. It was the need to have her hand held on missions by her teammates instead of having the strength to act like an equal teammate that made her come to the conclusion that Naruto and Sasuke were figuratively moving ahead of her. Sasuke's reference to the premise is related to a conflict of wills, philosophies, and emotional mindsets. Itachi was always the quintessential ninja in Sasuke's eyes - not just for his strength, but for his determined and selfless mindset. He's a man that sacrificed everything for the goal he set out to accomplish. To Sasuke, that might be one of the highest honours you can achieve.

I was honestly expecting her to reach the place this chapter   but I actually liked how it played out Next chapter it depends:

-If the IT was magically dispelled XD I think sasuke will leave the pace first or Karin will heal him, *insert OVA* for nartuo's case;

-If IT is stll up (most likely) then I expect more to scenarios:

   - She heals them both (meh)

   - Naruto has passed out whereas Sasuke hasn't and *insert OVA*

Conslusion I'm desperate for the OVA   but jeez it's really obvious and he suspiciously make the sunrise happen again

Hmm, mangastream's translation is a bit different. Instead of saying team 7 is his family, he says team 7 made him see the shadow of his family.

I don't necessarily agree with it; I think it was pretty clear that Naruto wouldn't be able to win a decisive victory and it would always involve some form of TnJ. I do think someone could make a cogent argument as to why they find it upsetting though.

I loved this chapter.

 

Nobody wins the fight, because this fight was not meant to be in the beginning.

It was insane because they are friends.

I knew the resolution between Naruto and Sasuke would happen kinda like that.

I'm surprised Sakura didn't arrived yet, I could really see her punch Sasuke, but I just loved the way Naruto punched him, and I guess it's better like this because Naruto and Sasuke needed to settle all this alone. It was needed. They needed to settle everything between the two of them. 
The beauty of this fight is just... I can't describe how much I love it. It's what I wanted to happen between them. 
It's a lot better than TnJ in that blank world because it gives a "false" feeling. Here Naruto and Sasuke were real to themselves. That was really good. 
With this, Kishi concluded very well the Naruto and Sasuke issue. 

 

Also, the drawings are absolutely stunning. 

 

Naruto's face expressions are incredible. 

I just love you Kishi. 

 

Sakura will come to heal in the next chapter obviously. 

I'm curious of the technique she will use to recreate their arms because it's completely destroyed IMO.

I don't think there is still their arms cut somewhere. It's like they are reduces to nothingness.
I'm really, really curious.
Also, I don't really think she will only heal Naruto, but I think she will be more affected by Naruto's state than by Sasuke's. I have the feeling Kishi will give an hint on this when she will arrive with Kakashi.

 

Sasuke said the truth for once. I knew he felt that way. Remember guys all the times I said you this and some of you were saying Sasuke feels nothing ? LOL
I kittening knew it. He always considered team7 as his family. He loves them. He always fought against this feeling. I kittening knew it. 

 

Kishi create a magnificent image of the red string that ties Naruto and Sasuke with their blood. It's like they are making the reconciliation seal with blood. The blood is taking the place of their hands. 

 

Sasuke said his eye was needed to break IT. I wonder what is the technique ? I thought it would be hand signs.
