You just don't understand nothing about Sakura.

She was not fangirling at all. Where did you see that to begin with ?
She was honest. She said to him she loved him all along, that she never imagined he would have become like this (like what ? Just ask yourself the question)
She doesn't love him anymore, because she doesn't admire him anymore. But she still feels for him, because of their past of team7 and she wants to get back to those times. Is that so hard to understand ? The one she admire is Naruto. And Naruto became a lot more for her. It's obvious.

She wanted to save him for them to be happy. For Naruto to be happy too. It's not all for her. She's trying to prevent them to fight because she doesn't want them to kill each other. She want them to smile with her. Don't you understand ?

She didn't say anything to Naruto because there is no need to explain this to Naruto. She knows Naruto's feelings. Sasuke is the only one that needs to be brained up. Don't you understand ?

I don't undestand some people sometimes... What would do you expect ? That Sakura hates Sasuke? That is a BS and you know very well. Sasuke is part of Sakura's characterization.. It isn't a deal of love here.. Whether is love or not, Sakura feels to have the duty to save him. She isn't fargirling or whatever here, she isn't declaring again (she just reaffirmed her love at that time) to him...She just want to stop Sasuke from going against Naruto. And she was talking about the team seven, not as couple.

The pic wasn't to illustrate her usefulness, it was to show the claims she made were never touched on to their full potential. And saving Sasuke is important to Sakura too.

Sasuke stabbing her with a chidori is just him showing his sensitive side! Real love is an electric charge through the chest to kill someone.

Yeah I forgot Sasuke is a tsundere, he's the ultimate tsundere. Not even Kurama and Sakura can't match him.

Man, I was hoping for Kishimoto to write something original and unpredictable, but with this chapter he pretty much set and revealed how the whole pairing thing is gonna play out.
I mean, he's purposely having Sakura talk in past tense for tension, and then once Naruto brings Sasuke back and full fils his POAL, she's gonna be : I don't love sasuke anymore ( in a romantic way) I love you Naruto.
And that is something I really do not want Kishimoto to do.

Kakashi makes it pretty crystal clear afterwards. We MIGHT have gotten some wiggle room with Sakura's words on re-reading the chap, but nope. He closed that door immediately with Kakashi confirming it.

 

There's no way around it.

 

I expected NS to be an asspull anyhow seeing as the rest of the manga is terribly written, but the level of asspull needed now (even though it's for an outcome that I want) is just flat out kittening ridiculous.

 

It's a case of basic grammar. What did you want Kakashi to say? "Love was a complicated thing?"

 

Fun fact: Google "asspull", and the first result you get is a bunch of fanboys bickering about Naruto.

For f**s sake...stop trying to change this into something it's not.   The chapter was pretty clear except on a few things.

 

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with you at all. Sakura LOVES Sasuke? Or LOVED? Tell me which one was said in this chapter. The context is everything. If she's talking about past tense, then she's talking about when she loved him back then. If she's talking about the present "I LOVE you", then she referring to as of this moment. I don't understand where this is coming from. It's really simple honestly - even after one read and jumping to conclusions it was really clear what she was seeing. Sakura was obviously desperate to stop Sasuke, because he's going to cause major problems. Not just strolling along with Orichimaru. No no. He's going to change everything they know and rule it. Late Pt.1 Sakura wouldn't have suspected this in the slightest. Sakura is talking in past tense because she's referring to the old days when she cared for him. You know what that means? I think she was trying to use the fact that she cared about him to bring him to his senses. I don't know about you, but if my teammate was loose tryna cause all this crap I would try to remind them there's people here that care for you.

 

I've been in love before, kinda like the love Sakura had. I don't love him anymore, but I still care about him a lot. "I loved you" does mean that they aren't currently in love with them because it refers to the PAST. That's like saying "I'm writing a test" is the same as "I've written the test". With "I've written the test", am I still writing the test? NO. How hard is that to understand? Unless the raw says otherwise, I'll stick with these translations. Sakura will always have feelings for Sasuke. Feelings range from hate, love, friendship etc. Sakura deeply cares for Sasuke and wants to save him from the darkness. Not just as someone she used to love, but as a member of TEAM 7. 

 

The focus isn't on Naruto's feelings. We're focused on Sasuke and team 7 as a whole. I'm done arguing... believe what you want. If Naruto did the same thing, I wonder how people would've reacted. 

 

It's not hard to understand, but I'm not too confident to rely onto this past tense.

This chapter had presented more than just two "loved".

In the past, Sakura loved Sasuke and that was it.

Why would she be talking about this? Because it was good for her? For all of them?

If he decides to come back, so how it'll be? Sakura doesn't love him anymore, right? The scenario would be the same?

So, what the hell she's proposing to him?

 

"If I still have a place in that heart of yours, even if it's just a little... Please, don't go"

 

This was personal. The "if we're together again" can be really about team 7. But she made a personal appeal before this. She remembered their first farewell. The farewell when she confessed all her love, trying to stop him with everything she could offer. She knew she couldn't do much to stop it again. And again, she made an appeal to him. And received the same answer.

 

"You're annoying".

 

Kishimoto just revived the first farewell with this one wich seems to have been the last.

 

No doubt that this moment ripped SS guts to the ground and took a bath with it's blood, but are you really saying Sakura's love for Sasuke it's gone? Her speech could have been a lot different if it was the case.

 

You guys are willing on the idea of when a loves become loved it cannot be revived. Then, it's ok.

The way I see it, this chapter killed off SS for good.

 

We have noticed recently that Kishi is doing a lot of look-backs at some of the part 1 chapters. Today's was another call back to the time when Sakura confessed her love to Sasuke.

 

It starts off similarly. Sasuke decides to go rogue and Sakura is shocked. She then becomes desperate and determined to do whatever it took to stop Sasuke from doing the wrong thing. 

 

However there's a lot of difference when you compare her words from part 1 and this chapter.

 

In part 1, she said she loves Sasuke but here she said  she used to love him.

 

During her confession in part 1, she places Sasuke on a pedestal and says no negative things about him. In today's chapter, she expresses regret that she fell in love with a guy who turned out the way Sasuke did.

 

During her confession in part 1, she talks about the possibility of the two of them being happy together if he changed his mind. Here though, she refrains from mentioning any such thing. Rather, she talks about the possibility that things could be like before if he changed - happy days for team 7.  

 

Clearly, there is a huge change in Sakura and the way she sees Sasuke and feels about him.

 

To cap it all off, just like in part 1, Sasuke proceeds to knock her out. But again there's a change. That day, he showed remorse and thanked her for her words. Today, he flat-out says he does not love Sakura and showed no sign of having second thoughts about this.

 

So what did we learn in this chapter? Sakura has changed from the girl she was in part 1 and she no longer loves Sasuke the way she did in part 1. Sasuke still remains totally disinterested in Sakura.

It wasn't a degression; it's a simply evolution of the story. She wasn't going to save Sasuke and she knew she couldn't. Her main role from there on was to believe in Naruto.

 

But please, go on about how it is my problem that this rather simple progression of the story doesn't exist; then use it to laugh at Sakura.

Yeah, thinking about it, this chapter is really atrocious and really shows Kishimoto has no idea what he's doing.

 

He should keep romance out of any future works because all it does is kitten what would otherwise be decent characters.

 

Seems Kishimoto is hellbent on destroying Sakura's character and years of development by still having her unhealthy obsession with Sasuke tied to her. Just kittening look at how she was in this chapter. Years of physical and personal development down the drain.

 

What's worse is Kakashi standing by and letting it happen.

 

Don't really have any confidence in NaruSaku happening at this point.

The way Kishimoto has handled romance in this manga has been some of the worst romance I've ever seen, evidenced by the fact that SasuSaku "survived" for this long in the eyes of many.

 

Romance is supposed to strengthen the character, not degrade them like what's happening with Sakura still holding onto Sasuke.

 

SasuSaku was dealt a heavy blow today but also delivered some hits to NaruSaku as well. Don't expect Sakura to wake up and suddenly realise who she really loves, not happening.

 

If you ever had a reason to hate Sakura this chapter is perfect for you. I'm tired of this.

 

It's fans' interpretations that make the chapters atrocious. We can't judge without having all the manga as a whole. When it will be finished, then everything will be wrapped up and clear. How could you say that Kishi has no idea of what he's doing ? Are you in his head ? He's doing what he wants to do. It doesn't please you right now, fine, but don't judge everything in this light because it's wrong.
Sakura is not more 'obsessed' about Sasuke than Naruto. They just want their friend back. They don't want him to destroy himself and everything.
I'm afraid of the amount of bad interpretation I read everywhere... really.

After what Sasuke did to poor Sakura, I hope Naruto kicks the ever living kitten out of him. Even if it was a genjustu, that's no way to treat a teammate. I also hope Sakura breaks free of that genjustu since she is strong against it and goes after both of them.

Quick question, was this chapter Pro SasuSaku or Anti SasuSaku? I couldn't make up my mind...

I think that it was Anti SS, well as far as I know at least

 

It's just infuriating to me. I really liked the majority of Part 1 of the manga and this whole situation with Sasuke in Part II is just very frustrating. I'm still hoping Sakura wakes up from the genjutsu and decides to help Naruto in the fight though. I just think this whole prophecy fight is so stupid and the whole reincarnation stuff should've never happen.

I will agree that the whole reincarnation is BS and is only there so Sasuke can't die.

 

What's with all the Sakura bashing? Have you forgotten that Naruto and Kakashi both ALSO want Team 7 to be reunited? Does the whole point of the manga, to overcome hatred with understanding and compassion are already forgotten?

Have you skipped the chapters where Sakura screamed at Sasuke for hurting Naruto? Did you not see the entire Sai arc, dedicated to brotherly love and emphasis that Naruto's will is to save Sasuke? Have you completely overlooked the fact that Naruto isn't throwing hissy fits over his hurt feelings? No?

GOD!!!! What's up with all this Sakura bashing! Just what should Sakura do that she should get positive reviews atleast in here(Not applicable to all). Agreed the romace subplot is not proper. Granted there are plotholes and granted there's some utter BS but atleast Sakura is doing what she can without so asspulled powerups! Whatever she has done, she has earned it! Granted her love for Sasuke does not have any base and its dragged out way too long and the pairings have been teased a lot...but....it does really take time to get over something you hold dear. It sure is annoying but I...personally think that without this NS cannot get a proper resolution! Honestly, how can NS be canon in a proper way unless Sakura has dealt with Sasuke stuff? The kind of emotional person Sakura is...its really no wonder! Remember the fact that in Naruto manga it is not even a complete year since the Land of Iron arc. Hell! If in real life, people can get hung up over someone they hold dear.....why not the anime and especially for the character who is the most human of all? Why can't a girl care for a guy for the sake of their friendship/team or whatever? If a girl comes and wants to help me does it automatically CONFIRMS that she loves me? Can't it just be a simple hand of help?

I can give this in writing RIGHT NOW that if Sasuke kills Naruto....Sakura is not getting with Sasuke but instead she'd be the first rate Sasuke hater. I can write this on paper that its Naruto or no one for Sakura! Getting over pains caused in the childhood sure takes time and also takes a heavy emotional toll on oneslf though I agree that in this case things are a bit exhaggerated. But its not so bad now or is it? Or is it the case that we literally got Sakura fangirling over Sasuke like she did in Part 1. Its not even the fact that the development is forgotten or Sakura has forgotten what Naruto has done for her! i am pretty surprised that nobody noticed that Naruto has reaffirmed one of those thing that ASS/ANH denied to death: That his promise of lifetim to Sakura is always valide. Sakura just wanted to broke it but in Naruto's mind (and heart) this promise is still ongoing.

Yeah I really don't want Sakura to do anything like that. Naruto has to be the one to step up and confess his feelings this time. Every time a female confesses in Naruto they end up ignored and/or rejected. The bench scene and the forehead kiss still needs to be revisited. Why else would Kishi include that MinaKushi flashback?

Some people on this read seriously have invested too much time into their sasusaku insecurities that they won't be ever satisfied, unless Sakura is seen screaming that she personally wants to rip Sasuke's throat out.
