I heard Mayweather was a domestic violence abuser, so kitten him.
Seven times, I believe.

Inside the ring I give him all the credit he deserves and I actually like him, as a boxer. Outside the ring I can't stand him. The one fight Floyd will never win is the heart of fans lol.I heard Mayweather was a domestic violence abuser, so kitten him.

changed the title to just the boxers names, so it's becomes the official fight thread, instead of a single question about what might happen in the future. :)
hope this thelps people remember to post here, since I've seen fight comments on lots of different threads.
Change the title to Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao - Snooze of the Century.

Because knowledge is equivocal to research topics and majors
Because blacks are the only ones that have suffered at the hands of discrimination, segregation, etcyou literally know nothing about me, you don't have the right to make that claim.
Because those cases are the only ones that are reported, nobody cares about discrimination against a white person, because they're white, and only white people can be racist or discriminatory
Maybe because I never said anything about that, and wasn't trying to disprove thatIn fact, your original point wast about the number of blacks represented in media, but the way that athletic figures are represented to blacks, as if you were saying that athletics is marketed as something that anyone can do, and it's lauded as something that is sure fire. That is what I was responding to, not underrepresentation.
Actually it does, because you automatically assumed that I was listing blacks in sports, and by doing so, assumed that I was insinuating that all of them are exclusive to black representation, when Ali was incredibly diverse and fought more than just racial issues.
Because, regarding recent events, the media's quest to vilify all police, especially white cops, isn't a form of sensationalizationbecause, regarding recent events, the media's focus on the violent protests as opposed to the peaceful ones isn't a form of sensationalization
I'm perfectly within my rights to talk about this subject, it's just that you believe yourself to be on an intellectual high ground, and that I'm beneath you. I'm done, don't bother responding, it won't get read. Have a nice day.
You literally just said you weren't black 2 posts ago and I'm through entertaining you because I don't want know how much racism is instilled in you. Anti-blackness is a freaking gem and it's amazing how so many people don't realize that they have it. Freaking amazing.
I'm not even reading this because you're officially unable to talk about this subject with me until further notice. Take a race class 101 then come talk to me.
Talk about the original topic which was Mayweather v. Pacquiao. Just don't come at me talking about something that you don't understand.

lol Mayweather won because he made PAC miss the whole night. He didn't run and the hugging is a part of boxing even if I dont agree with it. But the simple fact of the matter is, Mayweather just does like he always does. He doesn't brawl, but he did fight Manny toe to toe. He fights like the tactician he is. He made Manny fight the way he wanted him to fight, and as a result he made Manny look like a amateur. He couldn't touch Floyd lol. And the reason he won was because he was very accurate with his punches lol. It wasn't running or anything, he just showed off his amazing defense once again. He has the sweet science in his blood. I don't understand how people can call dodging=running.
What he did was technically proficient, but that doesn't alter the fact that it's boring and one of the main reasons this sport is dying. The entire audience and pretty much everyone who paid money for this joke of a fight have the same opinion. The rules should be stipulated in a way where boxers are more encouraged to .. . yah know, fight. Perhaps have both fighters should start off with 1000 points each and points should automatically be deducted for every instance of non-fighting (i.e. clinching, headlocking LOL what was that?, running around the ring, etc). That way, non-fighting is more strategical and not something you can simply abuse in the way Floyd has made a career out of doing.
Manny actually thought he was winning (bad coaching on Roache's part, but still). He's been in so many fights that this sort of thing is usually a sign that the other guy is at a disadvantage. And Manny would've been correct . . . in a real fight. Unfortunately, boxing continues to go further and further away from simulating real fights. Soon, it'll be about as worthless as Tae Kwon do.

Oh yeah. Beat up all of his wives. I think 4 of them. And it's amazing how people don't care. (And how he's still the highest payed athlete.)

yeah it was very technical on his part, and to be honest I don't think it was boring because I enjoy seeing Floyd's defense being put on display to every opponent. Lol, I watched it. I don't have the same opinion. The object of boxing is to hit and not get hit and most boxers don't realize that which why they can't beat Floyd. Floyd knows this, and he capitalizes it in every training session. That's why he fights the way he does because he has the sweet science in his blood. Only a few fight like he does. Pernell Whitaker(which I think would beat the kitten out of Floyd), Wilfred Benetiz. But what did wasn't running. And believe it or not, clinching is a form of defense in boxing. Floyd being smart uses it to his advantage. It isn't abused, it's there and it's in the rules to use it. The head locking, he's quick enough to do it so he gets away with it lol, I don't agree with the headlocking neither he shouldn't be doing that. Floyd wasn't running neither, he was making Manny miss. He dodged. I'm pretty sure nobody would stand and trade blow for blow like that and slug it out. That's how you get kittened up in a fight. That's why Manny lost, he tried rush Floyd. Floyd being Floyd, dodged his flurries and countered every opening he saw. Manny was trying to be too rexkless which is the worst way to fight Floyd.

And lol, I agree Roach did coach bad. Lol, in a real fight I have a feeling Manny would get killed.

LOL I'm racist and I'm not qualified to talk because I said that blacks aren't the only ones that have suffered through racism, discrimination, segregation etc. What absurdity.
What's absurd is that you know nothing about black people yet you think you have a right to speak up about their issues. LOL. Like I said, you're banned from talking to me about race.

Because what he does isn't dodging, it's just running. Almost the entire fight he ran from Manny. Dodging means getting out of the way of someones attack. Running around in circles and hiding in the corner and not facing your opponent does not count as dodging.
What he did is not something new, in every fight he does it. But this time he did way too much.
Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.
These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

Agreed. He was kinda a coward in the ring.

And on what grounds are you standing on to be able to say that?
The grounds that I am a black person, studying racial history, and most definitely have went through more experiences than you. Because of everything that you've said, I will never take you seriously about this topic again. Like..ever.

They should've took away his license but boxing people don't give a kitten about past wife-beaters, so kitten them too. Says a lot how ex-criminals can get millions of dollars just by punching people but teachers, firefighters, environmental workers etc don't get paid even a hundreth of that. Entertainment is fun but it's disgusting how this society values it over education and more important causes.

I think that's more of a problem with the Boxing Association (or whatever it's called) it doesn't apply to everything. For instance, Ray Rice just got his career ruined, he'll never play a down in football ever again.
Comparing athletics to the fields you mentioned isn't fair either, as youre comparing two different job structures. A more accurate comparison for teachers, firefighters, police, etc would be politicians. They get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, and still take vacations on taxpayers money lol

So just because you're black, you've been through more trying experiences than me? And just because I've said that black people aren't the only ones to suffer through discrimination, segregation, and other racial/ethnic charged slights, I'm not someone to be taken seriously, as if I don't know what I'm talking about?
Yeah, ok.
Lol whatever makes you feel happy, safe, and privileged AHK. It's hilarious how far some of you try to reach just to think you have any actual credit to be talking about these issues. You have no clue what you're talking about. Literally none. That is all.

Well look at the entertainment industry. Charlie Sheen beats his wife and he gets an entire new series. Ray Rice was caught on camera yet he's let go of all charges. We live in a victim blaming, aggressor sympathetic society- and no matter how many kitten things Mayweather will do (like go to a basketball game after his friend dies), people will still forgive him.

It's simply about revenue.
One can make the argument that teachers, firefighters and the like deserve to be paid more, but the fact is, there's not enough revenue for it.
The four major sports leagues, the NCAA, pro boxing, the UFC all have gigantic contracts with TV rights to show their programming and that's on top of the ticket sales at live events and clothing/merchandise.
Fact is, teachers, fire departments or whatever don't have those avenues for revenue.
I don't think it's exactly fair to label society as putting entertainment over other causes, either. I am a sports fanatic and I watch a ton of movies being a film critic, but I fully support plans to increase funding to essential departments and causes and vote for representatives who intend to carry out those plans.

The government has brains, if they really wanted to they could donate a huge chunk of that revenue to the teachers, firefighters, and all the people who help society and are paid less as a thank you to them and to help support good causes and the education system. You know, instead of giving it all to the ex-wife beater (who would donate some of his money to charity if he was really sorry for hurting others)
Says a lot when people finally figure out a way to make billions of dollars (entertainment) but they refuse to use it to help society.

Lol you literally know nothing about me and some of the things I've been through, yet you still decide that my experiences mean less than yours based on the virtue of your skin color and what mine is not, and then determine that I don't know what I'm talking about and that I have zero credibility because I disagree with you. You're right, that is all.
But I know one thing for certain- you're not black. Literally don't care about all of the things you've been through, because it doesn't matter. You don't have a clue what the effects of racism for over 400 years caused us, so everything you say is going to be invalid. Doesn't matter about how much "credit" you think you're giving yourself. You might as well just leave it alone. It's amazing how people want to insert their opinions on matters so much when they still know nothing.

This. Exactly. People are literally crying for help with schooling and better police departments and better firefighters yet we give people like Mayweather over 100 million for a 25 minute fight. And this type of stunt is found in any entertainment industry, really.
And I have to say, at least Floyd Mayweather gives back to his own community. But that doesn't speak for a lot of other stars who have access to so much money. If you ask me, boxers doesn't work any harder than the folks who risk their lives everyday and don't get paid enough in America. Personal opinion, but still.
