I have waited two whole weeks to repeat what I know to be the truth. Gaara x Naruto x Sakura is the only pairing with enough evidence to become canon. Just as Sakura reached to pump Naruto's heart, Gaara's sand wrapped around her waist. They were all in sync. Even Naruto's death bringing them all together. I will not be surprised if next chapter is the epilogue, and they are all married to each other. There is no other ot3 but GNS.

anddd madara's new look made me cringe. i just feel the god sage suit doesn't look good, naruto's sage suit was better with that red coat.

Trying to call a doctor-patient interaction romantic is just plain creepy. Sakura performing CPR is purely in the interest of saving his life and her mind hasn't shifted from that.

I agree that the CPR is not in and of itself romantic but that doesn't mean it doesn't have implications for the future. The context of the scene is symbolic and extremely important.

And there's been plenty of CPR scenes in shows, comics, whatever that have romantic implications. :\

Well that's what happens in a large, divided fandom where you have people constantly labeling any narusaku interaction as plantonic. It must hurt like a ton of bricks.

I mean, really - the NaruSaku part of this was NOT the CPR, but rather showing how far she was willing to go to save him, AND showing that Naruto's dream has essentially become hers now as well... I think we all are well aware that the CPR wasn't romantic...

 

*Sorry, just a little bit annoyed when people assume that the NaruSaku some of us see in the chapter is based off the CPR...

In that case then I agree with you that aspect. There is a romantic sub-plot in the story, and it something Kishi has to address. He already address Hinata's feelings, and may go back to those feelings if he choses to expand on Naruto and Hinata's relationship (and make NH canon, which, after typing it down, comes off more of a stretch than I thought). Yet he hasn't address the other elephant in the room, essentially the Team 7 love triangle. Whatever feelings fans have towards Naruto and Sakura's relationship (you could see platonic or romantic), Kishi still need to address things about their dynamic before the manga could end. He hasn't made Sakura's feelings clear in a LONG TIME, so whatever couple that he plans to make canon in the end (either NS or SS) he still needs to make that aspect clear to fans. Whatever if chapter is any indication of that actually happening is up to readers interpretation at this moment, at least until more chapters come out. However, in my bias NS mind, I just want to point out that Kishi has Sakura do all these things for Naruto, yet doesn't focus much on her thoughts on Sasuke dying. It doesn't matter if there is any romantic overtones in Sakura's attempts to save Naruto, Kishi had her feelings mostly focus on Naruto.

 

Yeah, I was replying to someone's comment about expecting Sakura to realize her love for Naruto in this chapter. I doubt such an important subplot would end here and now, and the only way to do that is to make Sakura's feelings unclear although it seems a lot of fans forget the "fake smile" panel altogether.

 

For this reason, I think it is completely rational to say narusaku isn't canon. But that doesn't mean we can't appreciate this chapter where Kishimoto has made Sakura touch lips with Naruto, when he could have just shown her gripping his heart.

 

[Not to be the spelling police, but I find a lot of fans have been misusing the world "biased." Aside from getting it confused with bias, "biased" means to simply have an inclination to a certain opinion. So calling reviewers or someone's interpretation of the chapter as "biased" is like saying "someone's opinion is opinionated!" Thankfully you have used it in the more correct form (biased towards narusaku. Anyway...]
