According to MS, that's not so... Kiba says that he want to become naruto's advisor. MP's translation doesn't make sense in that part.

Kiba want to become Naruto's advisor too

Akamaru felt hurt by that since he has been ignored by Kiba

Shino comfort it says that he will have at least 3 advisors (him, Kiba and Akamaru itself).

 

Do you have any access to the raw? Or maybe a transcript that they usually do?

 

Manga Stream does make more sense but since Kiba had been talking about being Hokage some chapters ago I don't want to dismiss that translation just yet.

Okay I got to say that the Tsunade/Sakura interaction was super cute. I'm glad Shikamaru was saved, he wants to be Naruto's advisor, and Ino stepping it up. But I still think it was still not that great...the story is moving a centimeter forward. It looks like the end is quite near now, but I wonder what Kishi is waiting for? Haha, I'm impatient, I want the story to move forward faster...these past few chapters will probably look better in the volume format though.

He could have let Sakura simply finish it up and still had Tsunade say the exact same things. So, it wasn't even necessary to do.

 

I suppose I don't see being a Sakura fan as simply never saying anything bad about her or her treatment by the author, no matter what's on the page.

Oops... I mistakenly thought Psychox was referring to how Sakura's haters were resorting to calling her useless again because of this incident. I think it's ok for people to express concerns for her character as well as reasonably criticize her and how she is being handled. I'm sorry. I was wrong to assume that Psychox was referring to irrational haters. I feel a little embarrassed now  ... Thanks for clarifying and clearing up the complaint though!

I was a little disappointed that Sakura didn't heal Shika alone.

I really thought it would be like that...

 

But this chapter come out well so...

Also it's just a regular thing that Tsunade is stronger than Sakura.

I'm not surprised by this at all.

She's the Hokage after all LOL !

 

But to some people, it's like Sakura has done nothing / or was useless because Tsunade healed Shika with one hand... lol it's ridiculous.

I wonder in what way Hinata means to be at Naruto's side. Maybe just in general like the rest of the rookies? I don't think the NH pairing got any advantages in this chapter, because Hinata was not spesific enough to make it a NH moment or a foreshadowing.

 

She did say "me too", which makes it look like she's just going along with the crowd. Not saying she wants to be beside him because everyone else does, but that she does in no way stand out like a future lover should.

LOL @ Hinata, she looked like a kid who was being left out and was like 'me too' I half expected her to stomp her feet or something.

I think kishi try to wrap up all thing outside team 7.

I believe this arc will end in the next volume and the next volume will have a transition chapters that lead to the last naruto's training arc.

What amused me about this chapter was Shikamaru remarking about wanting to walk by Naruto's side. Isn't this the same thing that Hinata said about Naruto in Chapter 573? I remember after that chapter that A LOT of NaruHina fans were taking it as reaffirmation that Hinata loves Naruto. Well, what now? By that logic, we now have some Shika-Hina competition for Naruto's heart.

It has been like that for a while. The more you learn from characters, the more you realize that the previous statement was meant another way around. We came a long way to this and talk about making it seem so friendly. It's not a bad thing, but if you want love, 631 is the only one that went there. Honestly.

To me, this chapter felt like closure for the Shik-Naru-Saku stuff during the Konoha invasion arc in part 1.  Remember, in part 1 Shikamaru volunteered to essentially become a sacrifice so that the other two could complete the mission, in this chapter we saw that both Naruto and Sakura stopped Shikamaru from becoming a sacrifice --they didn't allow it.  I thought that was well done.

Kishi can have Hinata always remaining in love with Naruto, however that would not be very good for her character.

Lately it's becoming even more evident and even proven that she relies on Naruto and Naruto only. Naruto is the sole and main reason as to why she does the things that she does. She revolves around him and is completely indifferent to anything that does not involve him. Having her move on completely from this fixation will be great for her character and give her the proper development that she needs. Not moving on from Naruto, or even showing a hint of breaking this fixation, would be an awful way to leave her character in my opinion. It just makes her seem all the more flatter and one-dimensional. Snape not moving on is understandable and works perfectly well because his character didn't completely depend or revolve around Harry's mother. He had many layers and dimensions to him-- unlike Hinata. Even though his love-interest played a big role in his character, it did not solely define him like Hinata's love for Naruto solely defines her.

About Sakura's bangs:  I think it's extremely special that Kishi has made the effort to change an integral part of Sakura's design to show that they are in war, and the NS side of me definitely thinks that it makes a forehead kiss to transfer chakra more likely.  Having said that, I'd be pissed if it became a "permanent" hairstyle for the girl.  Showing off her forehead was a major indication of growth for the character, and hiding it now, especially now that she has the seal would be terrible.  No, no I wouldn't be OK with that.

 

Also, as someone else said, I didn't think Tsunade was healing/transferring chakra to Shikamaru but that she was examining/checking on Shikamaru.  Think about it, she checked up on him, noticed Shikamaru was healed, then complimented Sakura for a job well done.

The way I see it Naruto himself will pull apart Sakura's bangs to expose her forehead, and make a comment about not wanting Sakura's forehead to be hidden since it's very charming. After that maybe a kiss.
