OK something weird I noticed.

 

This is suposed to be a realistic drawing of Sakura:

 

It looks suspicusly like Leliana from Dragon age:

I'm not sure why so many "realistic" images of Sakura turn her into a Caucasoid female with pink hair.  It's kind of annoying, tbh.  Don't get me wrong, the art is gorgeous, and that aritst is incredible (I have no talent), but Haruno Sakura is an strong, kickass, Asian woman.

lols don't see too many asians with blond hair and blue eyes neither with green eyes . so they look at her features and automatically assume that shes white .

Well, there aren't that many white people with pink hair ;).  Mangaka often draw characters to fit a standard of beauty that often results in them looking "less Asian" (light eyes/hair, certain facial proportions) but still, unless stated otherwise these characters are Asian (it bothers me especially considering how many in the Western fandom dismiss the Japanese cultural context in the manga, so arrogant).  Plus, I think I have seen some "realistic" artwork that played up the Asian features of the characters, and those were just beautiful.

Well, there aren't that many white people with pink hair ;).  Mangaka often draw characters to fit a standard of beauty that often results in them looking "less Asian" (light eyes/hair, certain facial proportions) but still, unless stated otherwise these characters are Asian (it bothers me especially considering how many in the Western fandom dismiss the Japanese cultural context in the manga, so arrogant).  Plus, I think I have seen some "realistic" artwork that played up the Asian features of the characters, and those were just beautiful.

Alright call it western arrogance or whatever but I personaly don`t like it when Sakura (or any character for that matter) is depicted as an asian. I get it Kishi is asian, manga is asian, but the characters he drew don`t look asian. Ino for example doesn`t have an asian feature on her (long blond hair, round blue eyes). The only thing asian about any of the characters is their setting and height.

 

So wheater its realistic drawings or cosplay I would always do it as a caucasian. Simply because asian cosplay of Naruto characters doesn`t sit right with me. It doesn`t look like Sakura.

 

Hope you see my point.

its better off not to try to associate the charcters with race because it is kind of awkward to think about what race they are . but in all seriousness they look white, they only exception to that is Sasuke he could be asian .

So Sasuke`s not exactly the manliest looking person in Naruto... besides who else can pull off the eternaly vacant expression that is used for a 1000 emotions and/responces.
