You guys! What if because Obito's sharingan was activated when he gave his eye to Kakashi, he has been able to watch Kakashi's whole life from that eye and that's how he knows tons of stuff including that Rin died despite being absent!

it could be that way, never thought about it and it's really a great idea XD but if it was really like this then obito would know much more of kakashi and it could be that he knows what kakashi is thinking about too cause that reminds me when obito quickly answered him without kakashi asking and when he didn't finish asking that other question.

... Why would Obito be a weeaboo? He doesn't fit the definition in anyway shape or form. You can call him generally obsessed with his idea of a new peaceful world, but so in Naruto in a different way.

I am not sure if I want Obito "redeemed" or not. Even though I want just one good villain that is truly evil, I have given up hoping for one. Any villain who looks to be one is either killed off way too easily or ends up getting redeemed in the end. What's that? Madara? I don't know, sure he is seen as being evil, but he hasn't really been in the story that long. At least Obito has been around longer and actually did that cliche villain stuff like evil laughter, taking over the world, etc. Then we have Sasuke...

I don't even know what the purpose of Sasuke is anymore. Sasuke: The Diet Coke of evil. Add enough sweetner and he becomes a good ol' fashioned cola. I don't know, I am starting to feel he has become a background character now with only just a long story to tell. He has made no impact on the war directly, he hasn't tried any evil schemes, and he is always "waiting" or "looking for something."

Obito...I don't know what I want out of him at this point. He can stay a bad guy and continue with his plan. He could turn good and try to kill Madara I guess. Can't Obito just send Madara to another dimension or is Madara all of a sudden too powerful for that and able to break free.

What matters most in the current scenario are sales, so follow a script when Kakashi dies, half of Konoha dies , Hinata dies (after declaring feelings for Naruto), and everything leads to a war where MANY more (including charismatic characters ) die, would thousands of Japanese babes "quit" the series. Think about it. Begins a colorful story and suddenly everything starts to get dark and gray. Pain becomes a constant as prophesied by Nagato. And in between the protagonist has to grow emotionally (become an adult) to the point where he does what he has to do, even suffering from it. And we have Naruto killing Sasuke to save the whole world.

i'm sorry for the double post but this comment on 4ch really made me think about naruto.

i'll continue my thoughts about this, i do think that kishi was forced to change naruto on the pain's arc because nagato used a technique that can ressurrect dead people(bring them back to life) so why madara did not bring back to life the edo tensei that was lurking around the bad ones, since their bodies was there.
and most fo all why nagato did not bought back yahiko?

lol at the sasuke part and yeah kishi seems to like all the villians to regret and be redeamed for some lifelesson i'm failing to understand well if its the real obito then he could be redeamed but the chance of that is now to me like 35% since he did to much to start regretting now .i dont think madara will be redeamed though i always preferred tobi(obito) as a villain since he seemed to me more sick and sasuke......i dont know what to think of sasuke anymore

I don't mind the cliches when it comes to villains: Taking over the world, destroying the world, etc. That's fine, that doesn't bother me. In fact, it might not be a cliche as it is a trope. I mean, what else do villains want besides money and power? I guess revenge is a good one, but that seems more like a side quest than a main one.

You also got the villains who really are not villains per-say. They are just really depressed and turn insane wanting their loved ones back.

Then you got the anti-heroes who are not really good or bad, but just do things for themselves. Whatever they want to do. They don't usually do big projects, but sometimes they can.

Then we have Sasuke who doesn't really fall into any category. He wants revenge on the village and that's more or less it. My question is, after that is done what else is Sasuke going to do? Find love? Have kids? Kill himself? He has short term goals, but no long term. Obito at least has a long term goal with a purpose. Sasuke just has no purpose beyond revenge. I am starting to think Sasuke is a satellite character that satellites...well the plot. Without it, he is just a cardboard cut out. I hope I make sense with what I am saying basically it is hard for me to explain.

don't worry i knew what you meant . we see villains in the manga from different types but all have mostly the same goal that they want to achieve but sasuke isn't a villain, he's a wanderer for revenge and not seeking to be enemy for anyone only attacks if someone get on his way of revenge. kishi doesn't want from sasuke to be a villain, he has his own special role.
saying that sasuke has got his revenge on the village, he won't search for love as searching to love someone and i'm sure he won't kill himself. he'll be a wanderer forever like he's already doing since he "killed" orochimaru or revive his clan with the one he loves or not and establish somewhere, well i think we have to let for kishi to tell us, although he won't fulfill his revenge, that why he has his own special role as being all about taking revenge and without it is like you said that he's just a cardboard cut out.
