Almost makes me consider not going, I don't want one of those to come close to me.
What part of Texas? It's a big state. I live about two and a half hours from the coast (San Antonio) and it's difficult for all but the tail ends of hurricanes to make it that far before they fall apart.

From the other issues like say Texas for example for the 2008 election president Obama just too remind people that the republicans of Texas get voted in, because of the bible belt of Texas which is why we had those changes rectally in the history books
Just because some disagree with their political beliefs doesn't make them racist ie For example, look at some of the southern politician likeNiki Halley is also of Indian descent

Back on Topic: I agree that Obama is human he can't magically fix the oil spill with twitch of his noes. I think BP should all pay for the crises that they brought upon the gulf, because of their negligent selves. Do I also think BP is the one at fault you damn right I do, and it makes me angry to know they they were getting kick backs for their screw ups. I'd say if they don't care about our environment they don't deserve to dill in our waters any longer.

BP is the one that doesn't want the help not the government. Quit listening to the spin, and actually do some research.

Since you like using wikipedia so much...
"As of May 6, the United Nations and fourteen countries offered their assistance, but the U.S. government refused the offer, with a State Department email to reporters stating "there is no need right now that the U.S. cannot meet." The countries offering help were Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Iran, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom."
What part in that does it say BP rejected help? I'm pretty sure ShippudenGirl did her research.

From the last I heard it was that BP, and the us government that turned down help The fact they only put the U.S government as the only one who refused which is not the case.

Accepting help nearly a month after. Real smart.
Meanwhile, the ocean becomes a nice thick cakey layer of tar.

And I agree that it wasn't a smart move by the Obama administration, and yes which I find horrendous.

Impacts from the oil spill looks like it will barely affect the rest of the nation's economy. Just the economy of the states ringing the Gulf

I also think the banning on off shore oil drilling is stupid from Obama and Congress. They don't have the slightest idea on how many other business and companies depend on off shore oil rigs: from drill bit manufacturers, companies that pre-fab/weld pipes to make up parts of the rig, manufactured valves, electronics PLC, refineries, and motors and pumps manufacturers. It will create a domino affect on job losses and layoff's. I agree that the offshore deep water rigs should be shut-ted down and inspected but immediately started back up after and shallow water drilling is just as safe as land drilling with the reservoir and well head above the water where it can be easily maintained.
