Besides, there can never be too much fanfiction and fanart in the library and gallery.
It’s pretty much the same rules as last time.
There are actually two separate contests - one for fanfiction and one for fanart. The submissions have to be something that you would describe as NaruSaku in a summary. Also, they need to be somehow related to one of ten keywords, to be detailed below. However, they do not need to revolve around the keyword. They're just meant as a prompt.
Twenty-five keywords have been selected and placed in a poll.
Any member can vote on the keyword that they want to see in the submissions between now and November 21, 2006, 5 PM EST and the top ten vote getters will be the ones used.
And the top ten vote getters are ...
Ghost
Holiday
Snow
Resolution
Togetherness
Family
Lights
Winter
Fire / Fireplace
Mistletoe
Then members have until January 9, 2007, 5 PM EST to enter fanfics or fanart for the contest. All entries must comply with the rules for Fanfiction and Fanart that have already been set out. Fanfictions can be as short or as long as the writer wishes, but they must be complete. By the same token, fanart can be very simple or elaborate. All fanart entries should be submitted to the contest category to make it easier for the judges. Previously created fanfics or fanarts are acceptable as submissions as long as they fit the keyword and have not been used as a submission to the previous contest. Multiple submissions from the same person are allowable, but each submission must use a different keyword or be for the other contest. So it is allowable for someone to submit a fanfic and a fanart both using the same keyword. Or someone can enter multiple fanfics as long as each uses different keywords. Please indicate which keyword you've used with each entry in the author's/artist's notes or somewhere prominently, even if you think it's obvious.
And the judges are YOU! Any member with at least 50 posts is invited to PM myself with your votes for both the fanfiction and fanart contests. You can vote for your three favorite submissions in each contest and rank them. All votes need to be in by January 16, 2007, 5 PM EST, one week from the close of submissions. I'll tally them up and announce the winners.
And the prizes?
We have a separate prize pool for each contest, but they are identical. The first place finisher gets first pick, second place gets second, and third place gets the last item.
If anyone has questions, just ask away in the thread (or PM me if you prefer).
