A Naruto and Sasuke combo and Minato and the Second combo as well.

Honestly it was a pretty boring chapter imo, guess we will start to see some Hashi and Madara battle scenes soon.

I honestly found this chapter to be MORE boring than the last.

Shikamaru's speech was really the only interesting thing to me imo and even still it wasn't anything new being said.

Initial Thought

Well, the action continues and more combo attacks, a cool and smart one I must say. I like they acknowledged the goofy name from Minato. Seriously, what's up with his names. Anyway, I like it but sadly, this is not over by a long shot. I do think the next chapter may start getting everyone involved. I do think they can kill him because of fire and wind to increase the rate of spread. Good move though. Well next chapter should be interesting.

Thoughts

Is it me or did the chapter seem incredibly short? I'm not saying it was a bad thing, but I thought perhaps they could've fit some more in, but otherwise it was a decent chapter and it's nice to see Naruto and Sasuke working together despite me still not trusting what he's up too. Also bonus points to Tobirama for showing off some sass as usual. xD

The Chapter was a good read, to me it had a little bit of everything. Some action, and a bit of story progression. The combined jutsu between Naruto and Sasuke's Jutsu was great, but i thought Minato and Tobirama's strategy was pretty good. It's great to see Sakura back in the picture; even thought it was only two chapters, and I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll do next week.

Well... anyway, this chapter was really short. Thirteen pages? whyyy

I was literally JUST thinking about how I wanted Minato and Tobirama to interact more, and how much I wanted a Fourth + Second Hokage team-up. AND MY WISH CAME TRUE. Thank you Kishi.

 

though why is Minato's hair still not flared up i don't understand

 

Back to the team-up though. God I'm so happy that that happened. It just made sense, cause they both possess the Hiraishin and all (cool to see Tobirama's mark, and that it's different than Minato's). Tobirama seems smart and quick to act like Minato, too. "...You act funny sometimes. I'd laugh at such a technique name..." Aha I loved that. I love these two! Their technique was very clever.

 

Tobirama's great. I expected that someone was going to take that little orby thing and return it to Obito, cool that it was him. I love how he corrected Naruto. "It's Fourth that is copying me." Why did Naruto call him "Old Man with the face of the Second Hokage" though? He's not old. But I like that Tobirama scolded him. "You should address me as Second with respect!" You tell him, Nidaime! 

 

Heh... Now that I'm done fangirling...

 

The Naruto/Sasuke combo was cool, I gotta admit, even though there are some other combos I'd like to see much more.  

 

Minato, what do you mean, "You are the main stars"? There are no stars here, this is war.    The very world is at stake... The hell.

Shikamaru's speech was nice. Temari says that he could become a good Hokage, and I definitely agree. He's a genius and quite wise, even though he's lazy.

 

I wonder what will happen with Madara and Hashirama...? Ugh, just leave him alone for now Madara. He's got more important things to attend to right now, dammit.

 

Sakura. <3 I'm glad we saw her again. Why does it look like she's still healing though? For the last few chapters she's just been standing there...

 

So, I thought this was all in all a great chapter, albeit quite short. Especially cause we got to see Sakura (even if only for one/two panels)! All of my hopes for this chapter were granted, lmao. And the ending was actually happy this time around.

 

I'm guessing next chapter, everyone will be happy cause Obito was hit, but then he'll somehow get rid of the Amaterasu on him and just be more ruthless than ever before.

Chapter

Grievances about the plot stagnating, the choreography was decent this chapter. It was pleasing to see Tobirama returning to the battle after being out of commission for two chapters. He and Hiruzen truly need a better showcasing of what they're capable of.

The interactions he had with Minato was interesting. Already they have found methods to merge the strategic maneuvers of their respective fighting styles together. Probably because they both rely on the same transportation ability to get about the field of battle.

More Naruto and Sasuke coordination is always good. Despite the two of them having grievances with the other, it really shows a level of coordination and understanding of how the other person things to be able to carry out the attacks and defenses that they managed in this chapter. Sasuke finally made use of his instantaneously materalised Amaterasu again. Of course, Tobi manages a defense against it. He's now part of an exclusive group of individuals who have been irrefutably proven to being able to counteract the flames that can directly land on an opponent with a glance. 

 

It's as though Kishi is speaking directly to the readers who believe that the Alliance shinobi are ineffective. He's attempting to alleviate people's notions that they won't play a part in this battle. Well, however they go about trying to help against this godlike jinchuuriki or Madara, it will hopefully occur in the near future and with meaningful results that alters the conditions of the battle. Speaking of Madara, am I the only one who is curious about what his intentions are? Apparently he feels the need to preoccupy Hashirama from battling against Tobi for whatever reason. Could this be a requisite action for his trump card? Hashirama would be the most powerful opponent for the jinchuuriki to have to contend with and he possesses elemental ninjutsu that is essentially the Achilles' Heel of anyone with a bijuu. It could be that he foresees a potential endangerment of the Jubi's life if Mokuton comes into play and Madara's intentions do require its continued presence. 

 

A decent chapter for what it was. Unfortunately, Sakura probably will not become directly involved until the rest of the Alliance goes on the offensive as well.

My Thoughts

A vast improvement over last weeks chapter, I didn't expect some comedy in this chapter, but I loved Tobirama's save and his opinion about Mintao naming habit. I also liked the Naruto-Sasuke combo and can't wait to see what kind of damage it does. Man I can't wait till next week.
