I never really understood the purpose of this part when it was first shown in the manga. However, I think it's supposed to show just how deep seated the hatred of the shinobi world is. It's not just Sasuke's hatred that Naruto is up against, but the hatred of everyone who's ever lost someone precious to them because of the "ninja system". I like the idea that Naruto has always subconsciously been aware of Sasuke's hatred, just without being able to fully grasp it. It's a very intriguing concept and a perfect origin story to why exactly Naruto and Sasuke shares such a deep and unique bond.

Also, funny how Naruto says "Damn it! I'll take down Mr. Popular and show her who she should be looking at! I don't remember that from the manga.

An okay episode I guess. Nothing more or less of what I expected it to be. But it was kinda weird when Naruto started comparing Kurama to a parent... Oh well, I can't wait for the next episode! And that's something I haven't said in a long while.

In this episode they skipped the part after Naruto and Sasuke fought. The moment where we can see that Sakura isn't really happy that Naruto lost.

well they have two options portraiting sasuke trying to kill her or we got another flashbakc of sasuke's departure, the 1st option seems most likely, him departing does not make any sense with the state of her mental image of him envolved in dark flames.
the flashback of his departarue f they do i'll stop watching the anime for real because they are only putting things that does not fit with the manga, sakura is thinking of sasuke's evil so her flashbacks must be of him doing something evil not abandoning her and saying thank you does not make any sense.

Really liked the animation in this episode, especially during Naruto and Kurama's talk. That whole scene was great in the manga, and so it was great to finally see it animated.

I'm a bit annoyed though that they did leave out that part where Sakura stopped cheering with the rest of the fangirls after Sasuke beat Naruto

Can't wait to see Sakura in action next episode! Too bad that's it's going to be swamped by gifs of Sakura thinking of Sasuke - if they do add extra flashbacks to that, which they likely will, I'd hope they use the flashbacks of her interactions with him at the summit, as that is what I believe leads to her changed perception in that moment. Plus, it's a hell of a lot more fitting that the departure scene, which was flashbacked to overly much during the summit arc.

I will not say much about the discution you people have I just want to show a contrast between Ino and Sakura at the begining and end of that fight.





Apparently Ino and Sakura were ecstatic and super cheerful for Sasuke to win, Sakura even ask Sasuke to kick Naruto's behind, but later she instinctively show her concern, same thing we did notice when Zabuza throw his sword at them in their first mission and she instinctively throw herself at him to protect his life.

I believe that's what the Author wanted to show, that Sakura concern for Naruto was there from the start If not so, why not leave Ino and Sakura's behavior and cheerfulness the same way like how the Anime Team did and we were able to notice the difference?

naruto does say "i'll show her who she should be looking at" unless you mean both of them talking together i doubt we would see that happening unless it's Naruto who's having a flashback and even if that happens it wont be anytime soon since his feelings for her have nothing to doo with whats happening

I really want to see how Team 7 were like when they first met each other, especially Naruto and Sakura. It seems odd how Sakura hardly gets any flashbacks at all.

It can be surprise since she is looking on Sasuke the same way?

In the end that wasn't my point at all, if everybody was with Sasuke at the start minus Hinata, why Kishi needed to change her exp​ression if he didn't want us to notice something?

All the girl only cared about seen Sasuke wining including Sakura and he did.
Everyone was happy and very careful but she wasn't, Ino was still happy and cheerful but Sakura only had a timid smile. Why change her status if he want it to be seen normal?
