Judging by the animation, it looks to be on par with the 3rd movie. But as for story element....... it looks as if it could be as great as the 3rd one, but I doubt it.

I think that whole bit was how Naruto "learned" from all those people, but yeah, a redone Pain fight without the TERRIBLE animation and ridiculous overpoweredness would be nice (taking a huge rock to the head without being crushed???????????????)

That's what I thought too, but I was wondering what was the general story but I guess it's a little too soon to know that. I'm not familiar with the team that does the movies but whoever does it probably facepalm after watching what the anime studio did with this fight and decide to repair the total fail of this situation ( and yeah, I'm with you, the wack-o-pain was totally fail...scratch that, the whole episode 167 was fail)

Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to seeing Gamabunta getting in on some action (since Jiraiya died he doesn't seem to be getting much). He's only appeared in one movie, and that was only as a cameo. Of course though, we all want to see some Sage Mode ass-whooping, and some little NS moments to top it all off (come on guys, throw us all a bone).

Ofcourse i'm looking forward to Movie Number 6 where he'll be going Sage of six path/Kyuubi Mode...though how exactly they will fit this in to the timeline I don't know....Yes I know you are on this important fake mission Naruto whilst we are going to war without telling you....But this unknown force is attacking us so we have to conventrate on that whilst we leave the invasion to the other villages? I can't see where this would fit into the timeline.

It's filler man, why should it have to fit in continuity-wise.
This movie looks interesting. That is all. :True:
