And I don't even live in NY, close though.
The new age of bombs, homicide and saiko. (Saiko is Japanese nuff said)

And even though I can't help but feel sympathy for the New Yorkers, there are a lot of other things going on, worse than NY. I just hope that America doesn't turn its attention away from efforts like Haiti and onto this new threat completely.

Don't forget giant rats, but New Yorkians tend to overreact.
And i know for sure that the right wing is finding ways to blame Obama for the bomb, and the Left is finding ways to give him credit, when it was really the police who save the day...

Wasn't it an active bomb? That's not a sick joke, that's straight up murder. Apparently not caring who they kill - just blow anything/anyone up if it was just left there.

The thing is they don't care, if people get hurt....

It was a simple weak one to begin with compared to other bombs and explosives.

Yes, thank you, Captain Obvious. If the Taliban could sneak in materials for a highly explosive bomb at this time with heightened security in airports, it would be a miracle for them.
Look, even if they don't care. Gathering the materials would probably gather you some funny looks and a few calls to the police.
- Gas cans
- Propane tanks
- Large amounts of fireworks
- Fertilizer
- Alarm clocks
- Metal rifle cabinet (seriously?)
^ Not exactly stuff you bring to a daily barbeque.
Even if you split up the purchases at different locations, buying this stuff in large amounts and loading them in an out-of-state SUV is a little suspicious.
Weak one, but a bomb nonetheless. Which was the main point. Doesn't matter what kind they used, either way, it would've killed someone and the "terrorist" would have been happy.
Plus, it would have created a chain reaction killing enough people.

True, Shrapnel damage is a big killer of any explosive device.
