Yeah, I'm the same right now. The price is pretty good, but there's nothing I really want for it. The closest thing to a system-seller it has for me is Pikmin 3, and I haven't even played the first two. Probably gonna wait for some of the launch bugs to be ironed out too. It sounds like that Day 1 firmware update is a real pain.
I've heard the browser and remote control features are amazing though. I'm sure I'll pick one up once Zelda, Smash Bros, and Metroid get confirmed release dates. Another console Fire Emblem would be the biggest game for me, but I doubt that'll happen for a while...

Yeah, I'm mainly interested in the Wii U for its games and the potential the controller brings. It looks pretty good to me graphics-wise as well; if I want eye-melting graphics, I can just play a game on my PC. I'll only get one console from the next generation, so I'd like to have something different, and I do have a soft spot for Zelda, Mario Kart, and 3D Mario titles. It's also the most likely console to be used at a family party because my family are keen on the Wii.
The only things stopping me now are the high prices and the so-so range of games. I'm going to wait at least 6 months for a better deal or a must-have game to come out. It's also a lower priority than my plans for an overseas holiday.

True that Kage Smiter!
you can bet that there will be a Pokemon game for it, but the question is will it be good? And as for Final fantasy Tactics I don't hear of such plans for a new one at all unfortunately

I don't know with that same logic, you might as well stay with the Wii then and save yourself the $300.

...Not really, considering that all of Nintendo's first party titles have migrated to the new system. We might see another 3D Pokemon title (Game Freak released both Conquest and Black/White 2 on DS a year after the 3DS release), but it's unlikely we'll see anything other than dance/party games being released on the Wii from here on out.
And, considering, the Wii U is backwards compatible with all Wii games, accessories, and VC games, it doesn't really make much sense to get the older system anymore. Unless you never had one in the first place I guess...

This article kinda made me chuckle.
Sony Executive Shuhei Yoshida imports Wii U
Apparently he tweeted his Nintendo Network ID. I guess this is proof that console wars only exist in the eyes of fanboys.
Makes me wonder if Miyamoto has a PS3, or if Reggie has a 360.

if you guys have any hands-on questions I guess I can try to answer them as best I can, but I haven't really used the wii u all that much yet. I've only played the new super mario game so far; it's definitely fun but nothing revolutionary though, just same old side-scrolling platforming.

Ah but there are new games for the Wii U. Graphics are not a huge factor in my gaming world but the games are; I've already said That Smash and Zelda Wii U caught my eye didn't I? I am only stating my opinion that I don't go crazy about graphics potential on games or consoles like other gaming fanatics. I read their reviews And they just go ON and ON about how gorgeous the pixels and animation are and what not. But that alone does not make the game does it? What about the game play? I never hear any mention of it. I buy a game cause its fun to play, not because it's something worth drooling over for it's graphic appearance. A game can look just like real life in virtual for all I care but if the game play sucks, It's not worth buying in my eyes, That's all I'm saying. This especially goes for the console. I want the Wii U because it is looks like a very fun and interesting piece to play and the controllers seem more interactive than the Wiimote.

Video
Summary of Announcements (and Boom's thoughts)
Additional details for Lego City, Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2. (Cool...but they were already announced, so not a huge deal I guess...)
Smash Bros, 3D Mario and Mario Kart were mentioned and will be fully unveiled at this years E3 conference. (Cool!)
Wii U Party coming this Summer. (If it's as fun as Nintendoland, I'm sure it'll be great)
New 2D game starring Yoshi in development from the team who created Kirby's Epic Yarn. (Hmm. Not really my kinda thing, but I'm sure some fans will like it).
Zelda Wii U in development, Wind Waker HD releasing this Fall. (SYSTEM SELLER YES YES)
New Monolith game was shown. Codenamed "X"(EXTRA SYSTEM SELLER YES YES)
Fire Emblem/Shin Megami Tensei crossover announced (TAKE MY MONEY TAKE MY MONEY)
System updates (Boring, but necessary I guess)
Wii U Virtual Console and Miiverse Smartphone App will launch after the first update. (I like Miiverse so far, so that might be kinda cool.)
Wii VC purchased games can be updated to be used on Wii U VC for a small fee. (Hmm, if I can play the VC games on the tablet, I don't mind paying a dollar or two for an update I guess. Depends how much they're charging.)
Needless to say, I'm pretty excited about that Windwaker Re-release. X and the Fire Emblem crossover also look great, but I doubt they'll be making it over to North America for a while. *crosses fingers*

Project X definitely looks like Xenoblade 2 to me, it has the same interface and gameplay style. I so want this.
I'm sure I'll get a Wii U at some point, but I'll try to hold out until at least 2 must-have games are out, AND I can grab it on a decent deal. £300 is just too much at the moment.

Monster Tri Ultimate Demo Now Available
I pre-ordered this a while ago, since I've never played Tri, and I'm pretty excited to try it out. This will actually be my first Wii U game (bar Nintendoland).
Six Ubisoft Titles on Sale on Wii U eShop
I've heard good things about ZombiU, but I'm still on the fence about whether I should pick it up. Zombies aren't really my thing. Assassin's Creed seems to be a good deal though.
Also, if you like retro games, the original F-Zero is on sale in the eShop for $0.30. At that price, there's really no reason not to get it.
