Just a tiny spoiler though: the plot twist is pretty mind-screwy.

Anime is not dead. It's just buried by new standards.Isn't there always a savior of anime? Anime isn't bad as people say, it just depends which one

I believe the standards has changed and I don't know if I like it but I will press on and just go with my own guts. It's like people don't want to think anymore, hence exposition galore, need a pairing war without looking into the story, and need a reason to buy hug pillow alas waifu hunt.@ryohki

Actually, I wrote a post that I addressed it that I'm feeling old and some really want me to be a preacher because I'm not alone. Shame but what can you do.

Well lots of anime are praised as "the best in the world", doesn't make it so though, at least not to everyone.

You guys have no idea HOW hyped this anime movie is right now. It's been slaying the Japanese cinema ranks for weeks now. It already made $140.3 million (still not as much as Spirited Away, which is the most successful movie in Japan ever with $289 million). I'm skeptical about whether or not the movie is really AS GOOD as people make it out to be. It overtook FMAB on MAL, but it's not the most reliable list anyways. I've been watching a few works of Makoto Shinkai, and my favorite one was so far 5 cm per Seconds. Maybe it's just the pretty colors, who knows. Makoto Shinkai is known for pretty artwork. I just hope this movie is plot over animation.
Anyways, I really wanna see this movie. Maybe I'm gonna stream it, imao.

I'm still waiting on Funimation with the release. Actually, for all anime movies, I am waiting to have my living room setup. It's going to be spectacular. Anyway, still waiting on their end...

Hopefully, this movie is not overhyped...
I wish dubs wouldn't take so long *sigh* I'd go watch the movie if it was released in the cinemas.

It could be but I won't let the hype get to me anymore. I want to see it because what it is. Got to go with open minded. I can only expect to be at least good. It's only matter of how good.

The movie hypes itself up, imao, if that makes any sense. All that gorgeous animation, some fantasy, a bit of romance (Ok, actually, Makoto Shinkai always includes some form of romance into his works- it's one of his signature themes), mystery...
Anyways, Imma stream it tonight. I'll come back later and give off my first impressions.

I'm gonna wait for this to come out in theaters for us in the U.S.
Anyway the English Dub Trailer came out ;
Anyway
Michael Sinterniklaas voices Taki (The Main Male Protagonist)...
He voiced Sora and Utakata (The Six Tails) from Naruto Shippuden.
Stephanie Sheh voices Mitsuha
- Now as many of you know she did the english voice for Hinata Hyuga (Before any pitch forks get lit... let me continue on) and she also voices Rin Nohara from Naruto Shippuden as well, plus she did the english voice from Orhime from Bleach, the voice of Eureka from Eureka Seven, Nagi Aiza from Your Lie in April, and Yui from Sword Art Online .
From what I've heard from both of these voice actors, they are really good at what they do even though I kinda feel bad for Stephanie for voicing Hinata, and If I remember correctly she's kinda annoyed with the lines she does for Hinata.
Anyway like I said before I'm looking forward to it, and can't wait till it hits theaters in the US.

The english dub voices don't make us mad because they just voice the characters but don't actually know the story for the anime at times and they aren't directly involved with it, unlike the seiyuus, so she won't get hate for that but more for how the character soundsI'm gonna wait for this to come out in theaters for us in the U.S.
