If you were to compare both pairings with NaruSaku by picturing them in romantic relationships based on what has been shown in the manga wouldn't both relationships be incredibly boring?

 

Hinata is too one-dimensional to enjoy as a character and Naruto is too serious around her.

 

Sakura is this pathetic sobbing mess when it comes to Sasuke... and I don't think anything needs to be said about Sasuke here. You can't even enjoy this sexy crap because it's not even feasible in a shonen manga for 10 year old boys (the main reason why this pairing is even shipped in the first place).

 

One would think that Kishimoto would choose the pairing that is most appealing to him to become canon and I think NaruSaku wins by a large margin...

I'd say they're both as boring as NaruSaku, everyone has their ships there's no reason to bash them.

This thread questions why the author would choose any of the other two based on how he has made these relationships appeal to himself and to the reader. In Sakura's confession, she said that she shouldn't like a person like Sasuke and some time afterwards we get the f**cked up murder attempts followed by the author questioning her choice in romantic interests in 540. One can say that he already has a preference to NaruSaku against SasuSaku with these events.

 

Then we have the Kushina foreshadowing and how Kushina wants Sakura to find a person similar to her instead of a weird girl, so this can easily be seen as a preference that he has to NaruSaku against NaruHina.

 

Basically if you think of these things and consider the way he has portrayed Naruto and Sakura's relationship compared to the other two, why the hell would he choose to canonize any of the other two?

Well NH is boring.I mean it is Hinata centric.Not bashing but Hinata is a bit boring.She'd do everything Naruto said.I mean she will be his slave instead of girlfriend.And Naruto is serious around Hinata.He doesn't make jokes around her I think.

We are comparing levels of interest the pairing generates? 

For me,

NaruSaku is like the Fast and Furious Series- Action filled and exciting.

NaruHina is like the Narnia series- Too unrealistic and boring. 

SasuSaku is like the Twilight series- Words fail me.

I think the OP should have worded the title better. I guess what he's saying if in a relationship which would be more boring( if that's what you meant.) NH would be more boring. SS is definitely boring. I mean Sasuke is not romantic, isn't playful, always serious while Sakura is the opposite. Would be a total mess.

 

NS is more fun, and everything in between but it's anything but boring.

NaruHina and SasuSaku isn't boring. It's just unrealistic and illogical. NaruSaku isn't boring either.

 

I wouldn't say that they're boring, and then state it as some sort of fact. Everyone has their own opinions. NH/SS fans obviously don't find their ship boring, if they're willing to ship it whether or not it even makes sense at all.

 

Sometimes I don't feel like they understand what a real relationship is supposed to have, though.

Tbf all the three( NS,NH and SS) types of romance are common tropes which have been over-used in mangas.

I found NH too annoying to watch especially with all those fidgety and forced melodramatic scenes.

It's kind of a matter of opinion, don't you think? I find NaruHina a bit too simplistic for my tastes, but I'm not sure SasuSaku qualifies as 'boring' per se. SS makes for a pairing with a lot of angst and I think that's part of it's appeal to a lot of people. Fans like the drama in those kinds of pairings. NaruSaku, in my opinion, has a dynamic quality that the other two lack and a versatility that I find appealing. 

 

But as always, it all comes down to preference. NH and SS fans surely don't find the pairings boring. As for what Kishimoto himself prefers, I guess you just have to look at what he's written (although different people seem to have different ideas on what, exactly he has written and which pair it favors  ).

People need to stop making these threads really. It's understandable you're interested in other people's opinions on the subject at hand but why is this even needed. it's so obvious.

I think NaruHina is definitely the least of the big 3 pairings. Like, I really don't understand what appeals. She's the least developed of the four characters, she has the least screen time, and she has the least interactions. I personally find her character unappealing, though I understand why people would like her. However, the whole "I'm insecure and weak and I look up to you like a celebrity" thing is boring. It'd only be cute if Sakura didn't exist and Naruto actually had some kind of soft spot for her which changed him, like Kyo for Tohru. But his soft spot is for Sakura, so NaruHina has nothing much going for it unless you're a Hinata lover who just likes the ship to make her happy.

SasuSaku (don't hate me) is much more interesting if a ship IMO. Sasuke is beautiful, Sakura is awesome, and it could make a really interesting combination that could work our if Sakura ever had a chance to try to bring Sasuke back. I saw some cute SasuSaku family pics and I just adore them Not as much a my NaruSaku ones, but hey. Anyway, my point is there's much more substance and depth to have an interesting relationship, if Kishi ever decided to go deeper than Sakura's superficial crush. I mean, they actually have interactions and Sasuke cares about her; which is saying a lot for a brooding jerk. I can definitely see the appeal. Sexy, angsty, and downright beautiful if Sakura got to be the one who changed him. However, the focus the entire time has been on Naruto and Sasuke's relationship so whatever chance Sakura had to be the one to bring Sasuke back and form a deep bond is gone. A bond sure as heck ain't gonna be forged in the next twenty chapters, that's for sure

NaruSaku is just adorable. I can see how people could find it boring though. It's just so obvious that some people could get bored with it. My sister for example doesn't really ship anything, but she knows NS is gonna happen because it's obvious. It's all a matter of opinion. The NH and SS shippers don't have a chance but they just don't realize it because they're so biased by their love for their ships.
