With the discussion of Pokemon going around for quite sometime, and considering how great The XY Series for the Anime is going, I've decided to make an Official Pokemon Thread for those who are currently watching the anime, playing the games, movies, manga, etc.  Plus I know some of us here do ship characters in pokemon (don't lie deep down inside some part of you does). Now  All I wanna say is this thread is for anything that's related to Pokemon as stated before, and fanfics count.  Last, but certainly not the least, this thread is also for those who love to recall back the early days of the anime, Indigo Region, Orange Island, Johto Region, Hoenn Region. You know the usual, anyway guys enjoy and discuss about anything regarding the pokemon series.

As fan of Digimon I am going to ignore the pokemon, but what is interesting is in Ash and Serena but sake of romance anime.

I uh, am not liking the direction taken with the recent episodes. I think the writers have tormented enough of their females. -___- Well that's just me. I've just been watching like what, almost twenty years of Pokemon and the formula is incredibly tiring to watch over and over. Hero gets self esteem broken, then learns to keep dreaming and whatever, but eh, I see it too much.

and it was Serena's debut too. Plus the whole hair cutting thing to change yourself is overused. But hey at least she's wearing Ash's ribbon.

 

 

That said, I FREAKING LOVE POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      And plus, Pokemon anime romance is better than S**truto will EVER be.   And the Irony is Pokemon is a No hugging no Kissing type of anime.

I didn't have WB but I did rent Pokemon on VHS. Even though it's not gonna happen. I'm still a Pokeshipper just like I'm a NaruSaku shipper.

That's right and I gotta say I'm really excited to see it, granted I'm also trying to keep my expectations after what The Last had to offer. But then again, Pokemon is no Naruto and that's something I'll always believe.So I've got faith in this movie.

Interesting, One thing  I can say though is that the romance never pushed as much as it is with Amourshipping. I remember that Pokeshipping had like small important scenes here and there, but I tell you Amourshipping is on a whole different level.

 I gotta say though her new design is pretty interesting especially the haircut, granted I was a little skeptical about her new design before it was revealed. However seeing the studio's decision in making it well great, Good news about this is they didn't do it for the fans, they did it simply to show growth in Serena's character which I'll eventually see once I get there. That's what I love about the studio that's handling the anime for X &Y.  

 

Also is it just me or does the animation look absolutely stunning in X and Y, I mean it was really bad in Black and White, but all of a sudden seeing the budget put into this series. It makes me wonder just what exactly does the studio have planned.

I said the same thing about the animation. I remember talking to my girlfriend saying how I was shocked to see XY to get this amount of budget, so I almost want to start watching. I know previous ones weren't like this, let alone Black and White. I think I should watch it.

I read from Volume 1-7 and stopped there, love the stuff that happens afterwards.. I just prefer the Red-Blue-Green and Yellow Storyline  cause that it just felt fitting to me atleast. I loved reading the manga through Red's perspective, and through Yellow as well someone I found really hilarious.

What's funny is I just watched the 2nd pokemon film and they way Misty acts is just so funny and cute as well I mean I can see that she loves Ash a lot and she won't let any girl move in on her man if you will which is funny.

 

now if only Sakura was like that and didn't bow down to the so called Mighty Hinata, this is also why I love Pokemon no ass pulls are needed,

This series is still going on ?! Holy moly ! And why is it that the original Ash Ketchum looks way more mature and wise than the Ash 15 years( is it..?) later ?

Believe it or not....but....MOST of the Pokéshipping moments were present in the English version only. The original Japanese version has very very less as compared to the English ones. Japanese version actually puts Misty in the state of concern and care for Ash as good and honest and deep friendship. No love....whatsoever
