They could have done a spin off in a completely different village with mild name dropping and cameos. It probably would have been more interesting and less inconsistent than what we have. "Why doesn't Burrito have Byakugan at birth? idk Lulz." 

Instead, in order to uplift the offspring characters the old ones are constantly getting kitten on, their personalities warped and basically desecrating everything people loved about them to begin with. I'm not kidding when i say i would rather them be all dead :zaru:

It just shows that even they know their pairing and how everything ended was bad. They are not satisfied with it either, no matter if they won because it's not what they desired. Truth is there are probably few people who are true pro-enders. Most are lying to themselves to save face.
They know very well the ending sucks and what is being produced now is trash, but they don't want to admit it so they keep on the facade. And unfortunately some are so angry that they lash out and they lash out to the wrong people.

THEY CAN'T ADMIT that their pairing is bad because that invalidates everything they fanatically believed from the beginning that Hinata is Naruto's soulmate and the only woman that ever loved him and that he ever loved in turn. My personal opinion is that Sakura with ANYONE other than Sasuke, even alone or dead would have been better then Sasusaku. but "sakura would be a bad woman if she moved on from The Sauce."  being with him demeans her developement. Everytime she is around him its like her IQ drops by 100 points.

They act different yes, but they won't act fake, Like Sakura around Sasuke and just as you say, that fake persona is an embarrassment ultimately. Because that is totally a lack of self respect, compared to how natural she acts around Naruto. There is acting different towards the one you love, then there is the complete 180 degrees turn in personality, not speaking of anything except what you want them to hear, and being a brainless airhead that only agrees with what they say and giggles every 5 seconds

The whole problem with NH and SS is both women started off as fan girls with silly crushes and they ENDED the series no differently, they did not show true maturity or development when iteracting with their respective love interests and that is a fundamental problem for fictional relationships.
 
I can never say this enough, IT DOES NOT matter whether or not you think of Naruto and Sakura's relationship as romantic or just as brother and sister. The point is that their dynamic is given focus and develops both of them into better individuals. And one of my prime arguments is that if they WERE meant to be portrayed as brother and sister Naruto would have been seeking Hinata's company from time to time in anime and manga even, if she was meant to be his wife "from the beginning". Because I sure as heck see no relationship developing between a hyperactive loud mouth and a shy, quiet wall flower, especially if they don't ever make plans to meet up and get to know each other better regularly.
 
SasuSaku is an even worse foundation that NaruHina because I've beaten this to death for more times than I can count but.............. SASUKE IS NOT GOOD FOR SAKURA. Why? ever since part II of the manga when Sauske is becoming more and more obsessed with revenge and being more deluded in his hatred that he would blame innocent people for his family's suffering, do you SEE Sakura giving him loving looks and thinking "he is so handsome and cool?" NO!!!! That was the very reason she was crushing on him in the first place but was there a specific reason beyond that? I can't recall. Can anyone here? Not to mention that Sakura has shown time and time again she is only in love with the "idea of Sasuke" rather than Sasuke himself because the only fond memories she has of him is only from Part I, before he deserted the village and left her. You don't see her having any positive thoughts about him after that fact. And yet fans are supposed to believe they would "GET MARRIED"?

Well I'd rather not have Boruto as Sakura's son, but yes any child of Sakura's would be disciplined and set straight at the very least.

Boruto problems come from three-ish thing: Naruto's neglect, Hinata's apathy, and his own spoiled life as well as nature.

 

Naruto neglecting his family is the biggest chip Bolt has on his shoulders. It is often suppose to come off that he deeply loves his father and his hurt by him neglecting him because of his job causing him to lash out. Kishimoto was able to handle that, the manga to a extent as well, but the anime has shown it in a way that sometimes it instead comes off as he always hated his father no matter what.

 

Hinata not being able to address the problem either to fill the void or confront Naruto exasperated the situation. Since, Bolt loves his mother and is hurt how Naruto neglected  her...which from what I've seen from the manga is pretty much just; well they are married...you don't need to have love for that. She also doesn't deal with Bolt behavior at all even in the anime with the all-might mom approach since he still acts out.

 

Also, his personality is very much like Naruto at his core. But their different backgrounds led to different people. Naruto the orphan is a dumb annoying brat, but he does work hard, cares about his friends, and is trying to improve himself as well as try to help as many people as he can. Bolt was born to an important family that people pretty much gave him what ever he wanted. So he is very used to just whining and complaining about something till he gets what he wants. He is smarter than his father was, but he is very lazy as well as very spoiled despite having a good heart deep down.

 

As for Sakura vs Hinata parenting...look at their daughters. Sakura raised Sarada on her own. The girl is nice, polite, kind, well educated, hard working, motivate, stand up for herself, and is one of the very few well received character in Boruto. Hinata's daughter has three iterations. One from Kishimoto, where she was a little psychopath that intentionally hunted down as seriously injured two of her family members over a stuff toy. One from the manga, where despite some scene still comes of as bland flat character. And the anime's where they made her the prefect little sister/daughter...which means she has no true personality.

 

Tldr: Sakura raised one overall good kid on her own while Hinata while in theory having good kids at their core have terrible behavioral problems.

 

Sakura would not have put on with either Naruto's neglect or allowed her son to developed the attitude nor behavior Hinata allowed to fester in her children.

And the fact too Himawari was gonna KILL Boruto over it when she triggered her Byakugan for some reasons, since Kishi forgot to draw them with it, showing how that he didn't PLAN any of this crap!
