If you're saying it lacks context, then you don't exactly have the high ground to say that Sasuke DOES care about his family. In fact, that's exactly why we say he doesn't care. Actually, that's what we've been saying all this time. How the story works, whether or not it makes sense, and why we dislike it is because there is no context to say that it does make sense, or that it was planned from the start. The couples, the themes, and the personalities of the characters in Chapter 700 and beyond have no context to support that anything in story is natural anymore. You are just drawing your conclusions from "eductated guesses" and "subjective interpretation". And you can throw that argument back in our faces all you want but guess what the difference is? We only make our conclusions because, again, THERE IS NOT CONTEXT to say otherwise.

I reaally, reaaaaally hope that when Salad enter her "I'll be the next hokage phase" , she says somthing like:
"Hey mom, why didn't you marry the Seventh? , I mean he's still around and is the leader of the village" or that Sakura say somthing like " I shoul've gotten with Naruto" just to spite the SS fans. (Last one isn't that far fetched considered how little SP care for Sakura's character)

P.S. I find it funny that to you different artist make all the difference, but different writers do not.

So if different artist don't change your mind, what about different writers? If one writer who writes a stories focuses all on Hinata and treats all the others like trash, is that proof enough for you?

I'll give a great example of SP favoritism.
Look at episode of the Pein Arc Hinata confession and how specially detailed they made at this series all the way to showing hairs in Hinata's nose...compared to....this.

SP gives fanservice to all characters, but in your hatred or envy, you do not see that big picture.

But it's not just that scene itself...it's the fact that he hasn;t tried to contact AT ALL, when he has contacted Naruto. Even if you make the argument about him being socially stunted, considering he still makes time to contact Naruto and not Sakura? He doesn't care about her man...simple as that. Either that or he's not as interested in her or Salad as much as he is Naruto...which is still very bad. Hence why I say he doesn't care. Sakura is pretty much on the same level as everyone else and, as his "wife", she shouldn't be.

but when you look back, you usually hit that wall of reality coming back to the present and naruto is one of them. such a personal heart break it was to see it go down hard as the titanic. it was a beast in part 1! perhaps its good to just remember part 1 minus the filler bullcrap.

Actually, I've been thinking about how vastly different the ending was from the beginning. And that if Kishi had it to do over again (and still chose the same ending) — like if he was able to retcon the whole series, starting with where he is now — would he even chose Naruto and Sakura to be the leads? Or would it be twin stories about Sasuke's struggle and Hinata's timidity, with Sakura and Naruto just being the secondary characters to fulfill their storylines?

 

If Kishi had it to do all over again, would he even set the story about Naruto and Sakura? Or would it straight up be about Sasuke and Hinata?

That's one of the fault of changing the entire tone. It's like part 1 was easier to follow. I'm not saying it has to stay focus on Naruto forever. I'm saying the rest didn't feel like fun anymore. It's like we're stuck in serious arc without cracking jokes. It's different to say the least.

That's actually pretty interesting.
We can't know if this was somehow intended, but in part 2 the focus slowly but steadily shifted away from the original setting and motives to a whole different kind of story-telling.

You are right, the ending feels completely different than the beginning, and that's something that irritated me extremely.
The feeling of Part 1 is unusually different than Part 2.

If he would do a similar ending, I think he would give Hinata more time and Sakura maybe a little less. The rest would not change that much. The important changes would be how he introduces the dynamics of the characters at the beginning.
But I think the slight Naruto focus wouldn't change and and he would try to showcase the bond between him and Sasuke in a better, less obsessed, way.

But I think that if he would ever make a complete reboot without thinking about this current storyline, that he would actually focus a lot more on Naruto.
Didn't he even say that he planned to make a complete reboot with a 'more-american-style-like-storyline', before Shueisha wanted a Sequel from him?
And I think that wouldn't work with Sasuke that well, Naruto would be the clear 'hero'.
