How does it reminds you of NH? The only thing this has in common with NH is Orihime's love for Ichigo, however that isn't all there is to the pairing. Orihime's character isn't all about Ichigo but rather all of her friends and her desire to protect them hence her powers. Orihime is practically a saint. She was even nice to Ulquiorra of all people Orihime is in no way like Hinata.

 

If this pairing happens I can see you guys hating it because your looking for something that isn't there. I've never once likened this pairing to NH or even Ichiruki to NS.

I agree with what you said. This is why I don't like when people compare ships. They are two different parings in two different series may my different mangakas with different dynamics. No paring is "similar" to another.

 

That said; based on how Kubo written Orihime and IchiHime, I don't like the paring or character. So I'm not hating because of NH, Kubo didn't give me enough to like Orihime's character or the ship compared to IchiRuki's dynamic, and I will be very disappointed to know that IchiHime might have a chance in canon. 

 

Overall, I avoid shipping any pairing involved in a pairing war. Compare to FT; the writing is mediocre but the parings are obvious and clear, and the most you have in a "pairing war" are arguments with crack shippers. 

 

I will never say NS or IR are the least developed ships, but the fact that we had pairing wars, create essays, and analyze every chapter to prove to opposers that it makes sense should be telling on how well developed it is. The only Kubo can be better than Kishi in the romance factor is by not making any ships canon. But don't think Kubo made a romantic subplot unlike Kishi. Anyway I have many issues with Bleach outside parings, but overall Kishi and Kubo need to avoid romance for now on. Kishi more so. Kishi's love triangle was great until he extended it to where I began to see NS in a lesser possibility of canon. I don't see how IH makes more sense than IR , in my opinion.

I agree with you. I've always liked IchiRuki but more as a friendship pairing. I see them as best friends as  both haven't gave any indication of romantic feelings. I've always liked Orihime from the beginning because she reminded me a lot of Sakura despite two very different personalities.  I'm not sure if any of you noticed but Ichigo treats Orihime different to the rest of his friendships. it's not romantic but it's the need to protect her because of her almost saint like nature. They have had moments like when Orihime was scared of his hollow form. Even in a recent chapter Ichigo tell her she didn't have to be afraid anymore. It's these special moments that makes me like Orihime. He treats her special yet not romantic.

 

I could say the same for IchiRuki as well but I like Orihime more than Rukia because I've never been able to sympathize with her character. I've always seen her as a strong girl( Sakura pat II) that could stand on her own.  Plus, in fantasy manga's I guess I'm drawn to  human like characters and not over powered god like characters

It's like they basically try to make it out like NH and SS in factions to get the other one out of the way. I mostly prefer it, when she is not paired with anyone in Ichigo X Orihime fan fictions.


Though I'm now going through a Draco X Hermione phase mostly, when he has redeemed himself and works out his views on Muggle born wizards. I'm reading a great fic right now about the pairing and she tries very hard to keep them in character too.

No you're definitely right in relating to and seeing Orihime/IH. Shipping wise, I saw IH more so than I saw NH/SS with Naruto. This is just my bias speaking. I shipped IR for 5 years ^_^! That's why I'm not surprise seeing some people being okay with either IR/IH, than I do with Naruto ships. Sorry! I'm just being a shipping stan!

Mess, I have a fascination with Joker and Harley's relationship but I could never ship it. The abuse is too much and knowing Joker. I wouldn't mind reading a reasonable fanfic with them though.

I know I've been saying it for a long time, but I love these two. Attack on Titan Before The FallI already love the story because it is a prequel as to what happened 70 years prior the original series. What gives the icing on the cake is the romance in the story,  theres no love triangle kitten you find in some stories, similar to NaLu it's pretty straightforward as to who's gonna be canon. Honestly, I really reminds me of Haru x Ellie from Rave Master something I haven't felt in a long time.
