Toaru Majutsu no Index II (9/10) 

 

Really glad I picked up this series, a lot of great characters who I adore, fight scenes are sometimes great but could use some more action. Soundtrack is pretty good, would listen to when I'm bored. Story line wise I really love it, but I feel like nowadays people use the "MC has amnesia" card to much but other than that I thoroughly enjoy this anime. Once I'm finished with the second season of Index I'll be moving onto the movie and then the second season of Railgun, then to finish it all up I'll be catching up with the manga/Light Novels.

 

9.5/10 for all series together

Me, too ^_^ !!! I'm almost caught up. Have about 30 more chapters to go... The anime really did a spectacular job with the chimera ant arc.
So I wanted to ask you: After I've taken a short break from long-running animes, which anime do you think I should watch?: Kuroko no Basuke or Diamond no Ace?

Isn't the Chimera arc the longest arc?

 

Knb or DnA? That's a hard question. Diamond no Ace 1st season has like 75 episode, while the second season has 25 (still-ongoing). Kuroko no Basket has 25 episode each season, so 75 episode overall.
I personally can't say which one is better, but if you like some overpowered teenager with a basketball and they have many Technics that can't happened in real life, I'll say KnB. (though some KnB fans says that they are real)

You'll like DnA. The series has so many characters everyone can relate too. (Like Haikyuu, Diamond no ace has soooo many characters, both rival and teams). HxH and DnA are both done by Madhouse Hurayyyyy!!

 

Too many episodes . Well I'll see if I can finish all the arcs before Chimera when I have a week of, lol.

Food Wars- 9/10

This anime is great. It had me laughing out load every episode I saw. I never knew cooking could be soo epic and entertaining and really looking forward to season 2.

Steins Gate- 10/10

After finding out that its getting a second season I felt like I had to rewatch it to refresh my memory. It was even better the second time.

Aoharu X Kikanjuu 7/10

First of all the animation here was breathtaking. Hotaru is currently one of my favorite girl characters, she is a freaking good kickass girl!!

 

AnoHana 9.5/10

The first time ever I cried so much to an anime before. Literally in with it, and all the characters are relatable. The animation was freaking awesome, and Menma T-T *Cries*

 

Durarara!!x2 Ten 7/10

Second seasons second cours. Not much to say about this, but I’m ready for the last part!

 

Gakkougurashi! 8.5/10

Probably my favorite anime of this season!! The characters are likable, and animation was sooooo good!! I’m hoping for a season 2!!

Ohohoh, I've watched a bunch of animes over the course of this season, so I'll post little chunks of what I've watched with each of my posts:

 

• Akagami no Shirayuki-hime: 7.0/10- A sweet, romantic fairytaile- but nothing more than that so far. Especially towards the latter episodes the series felt a bit dull. I'll still be looking forward to the next season though b/c I know some drama is coming up
• Charlotte: 4.0/10- Yeah, that's right, guys. Charlotte does not deserve a higher score than this in my eyes as it was an absolute clusterkitten. If it weren't for the animation it would have gotten an even lower score. It started promising, snuggled its way through awful and (now for sure) useless comedic episodes, a sudden, but forcefully put-in climax, and a rushed ending. Seriously, the worst-paced show I've seen in a LONG time. I'll make sure to go back to Clannad, that is prob Jun Maeda's best work up to date.
• Durarara!!xTen: 6.0/10- Honestly, I don't have much to say. There are times where I just try to finish the episode just because I want to get through it. Moments with Celty Sturlosen and Shizuo are still my favorites though.
• Gakkou Gurashi: 8.0/10- No, I don't think this show is trying too hard at all at "deconstructing" the moe genre by fusing the moe and zombie aspect. Everything felt naturally paced, and I loved the original take the animators did with the manga. Megumi and the dog Taroumaro had a bigger importance in this series, having making me cared a lot more about them than in the manga.
• Gangsta: 5.5/10- It pains me a little bit to give this show that mediocre of a score b/c this was initially the most anticipated show in my eyes. And storywise the anime is really well-written... Well, at least it seems like that's what it was in the manga. For some reason, I just thought this show was dragging on and extremely dull... It was sooo BORING! Prob the most dull season of this anime, highlighted by a monotone soundtrack, monotone voice acting, monotone background scenes... If this series had been a bit more lively, faster-paced, and better animated- this might have been one of the best animes of this season. Oh well, I'll read the manga soon.

I haven't finished it yet.. But I'm in love with the characters and animation. And the classic music is a bonus for me, violin was the first instrument I learned to play, so literally in love with everything here.

Colorful -- 8/10; I was expecting something a bit darker than what it actually turned out to be, but that is by no means a put-down. In the end, it turned out to be more of an uplifting experience, without being pretentious or cheesy in any way. It was a very satisfying movie, definitely recommended for slice-of-life fans.

Yowamushi Pedal 9.5/10

 

Yowamushi Pedal prob has some of my favorite characters and story ever! The main Onoda only wanted to start an anime club, but fell in love with cycling after begin in a race. There he meets several of people, and begins racing with them.

The cliff-hanger in the ending though. Second season here I go XD!!

Should have been a little longer. But non or less, loved this. Though I understand if some watchers didn't like the ending.

@TheFlash, so I finished Your Lie in April last week, but haven't got time to be here T-T

So, Your Lie In April 10/10

 

It started of slow, but nicely, and with the slowness I was in the edge of drop the anime several of times. Still I'm in love with the animation, A-1 did a great job with it. 
Character, hm, I think Kousei, Tsubaki and Kaori were my favorites. Tbh, I wasn't a big fan of Watari, I still liked him sometimes.

Diamond no Ace second season 6.5/10

Princess Tutu -- 8.5/10; I have to say I enjoyed this quite a bit more than I first thought I would. Beautiful classical music throughout, interesting, well developed characters, and a pretty ingeniously handled plot. I loved it, even not being much of a ballet fan or anything myself, though I can't say too much without getting into major spoilers.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road 8.5/10

Thought I would have watched this when 3rd season came out, but with the cliff-hanger from season 1 I couldn't help but wanted to see who won the interhigh XD
Liked season 2 better the the first one! But I absolutely can't wait for season 3      

 

Assassination Classroom 8/10

It's kinda wired, lol. But I liked it. Korosensei is an interesting character, I gotta say. Though, my favorite is Karma  
But looking forward to season 2
