You know the funny thing is I see people saying Part 1 Hinata was creepy, and Part 2 Hinata you see her grow as a character.
I'm sitting here going like Part 1 Hinata was an interesting character, creepy isn't the word I'd use here because Hinata back then only valued Naruto as a role model and you can see that because it constantly gets brought up in Part 1 that Hinata admired Naruto not loved, admired and you see how Naruto is giving her that push to never give up and I made the defense saying if a role model of yours told you to give it your all instead of letting go then it takes alot for you to make a stance about it. At the end of Part 1 you had Hinata saying "I'll get stronger too." and remember Sakura said the same thing too. SO best way to put it is Part 1 Hinata had more relevance than she did in the Timeskip that's sad. Part 1 Hinata was more of an interesting character and that's the sad thing. When you find a character have more depth when their younger then how they are later on in the story then you know there's a problem.
Its totally the other way around lol they are so stupid.
She was a likable character in part 1. I wonder if Kishi did not like SP blowing out of proportion her canonical moment and how they tried to pressure him to make Hinata the heroine. I think it could be the reason why Kishi tried to limit her screen time and he did not want her to be more popular than Sakura but SP kept her relevant with fillers.
The ending of part 1 and part 2 are so different in tone its insane. At the end of part 1, everyone makes a vow to become stronger, they are happy, training, succeeding (sakura showing great talent) smiling and are looking forward to the reunion. Its a great ending that gets you pumped for things to come. Part 2 is... sad just freaking sad. They all look like kitten and you feel nothing but crap and nothing makes sense (they have learned nothing). Naruto eating ramen alone is just sad and something I would never imagine happen. It just shows how Kishi feels old and like kitten.
