Looking back now this story is indeed such a mess

Kishi would have done better by sticking with simple plots, he tried to deliver complex themes and messages and failed spetacularly

I agree with this 100%. Let writers such as Togashi and Oda handle plots with various shades of grey. Now that I think of it, it is kind of hard to stay angry at the ending when everything that came before it in the later stages of the manga was crap.

Complex themes and messages attract more people.

Sadly his little brain couldn't understand them and thus he failed just like you said spectacularly.

show us how he prepares his famous noodles.

I would watch that. It's far more entertaining that Hinata's movie.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

Yes, because obviously the only ones who are worthy of second chances or compassion are people that Naruto can find some commonality with. He shouldn't be helping because they're flawed individuals with a capacity to change or because he's a good-natured person who tries to see the best in everyone. That would be expecting too much from Kishi.

Pretty much.
I mean why not capture akatsuki and interrogate them in immortal arc?
More intel is not bad right?

Who do we honestly lay the blame on for the village system though. Hashirama? Madara? They're the ones that started it all, right? Did the bijuu just suddenly show up when the villages did and that's when they became bitter towards humans? Or had humanity already pissed them off. The village system is no different than the way we all live now. We just have bigger cities. We have governments and leaders that we don't always agree with and military forces who to protect civilians or go to war. So how was someone like Kishi supposed to be smart enough to write a story that will show us a new way of living. That argument and that post would've made more sense if we weren't currently living in a similar way.

Agreed.

Minato sacrificed everything important to him (his own life, his wife's life, the innocents of his son who had a demon placed in him, and the life that he and his wife wanted to have with their child) so he could save his country/village.

Naruto gambled on the freedom of the entire known world's population, that he was strong enough to "stop" Sasuke so long as he didn't have to kill him.

Minato gave up everything just so his people had a chance to live their lives in liberty and peace. Naruto gambled with the lives of every known person on the planet so long as he didn't have to kill his precious Sasuke.

As you said Naruto should have been even better then his father.... but he wasn't. Naruto came from two heroes who lived their lives heroically and unafraid, well Naruto would have rather died dooming the rest of mankind to constant slavery if it meet Sasuke could live. Canon Naruto is not a hero like his parents were. He selfishly put his own desires over the good of mankind, and risked the lives of everyone just so Sasuke could be "saved". What a joke.

Hey I loved the interview you made where insecure Kishi talks about his wife and her ex-bf. Could you write more of those? :lmao: :lmao:

It can be engineered.
And the scope of peace is too big and abstract for a shonen manga.
Thus the peace plot become uninteresting and unrealistic, even for shonen manga. So the thing that reader do is ignore or handwave it.

@rocci You can't engineer peace. So long as people want their personal freedom you can't have absolute peace. That's where almost every story ever written about attaining peace fell flat in one way or another.

Nah, Tiller just made up an interview. But the interview was very well made, I don't doubt that Kishi absolutely thinks that way.

There are no everlasting peace. But, it can be engineered especially in fiction, Eventhought it will not last long.

Then what is peace in naruto? Why kishi bring it into the story?
Because many people see he can't handle it and indeed he can't handle it.
So why kishi bring it if he can't handle it?

Kishi kind of did (although possibly unknowingly) show how the shinobi world can maintain an actual form of peace. That was through the five great nations actually maintaining open lines of communication with each other. None of them cutting themselves off from the others which would've instantly raised doubt or suspicion of said country that did so. He just really wasn't a good enough writer to be able to touch upon all the aspects of the story he introduced. So he stuck to just a couple of them to the end. Bonds and forgiveness. And he still screwed those up.

Kiba one-shot...

Really??

Not that I agree with a Kiba one-shot. But I have to ask you this: Would you rather have a Hinata one-shot or a Kiba one-shot?

Both will be rubbish but one would be less rubbish than the other.

Are there any Kiba fans in Japan?

I used to like Kiba in part one. (Actually, I loved every single character in part one because every single one of them was awesome.)
Who cares about him now? I don't think the Japanese fans even care about him other than a few female readers who think he's wild and hot.

Well, why you think we want more of them when they never get screen time. Long ago, we praised the characters during part 1 because it was the first time. Now, it's like "Wow...That blows..."
