Yes - links can definitely be posted here and in the other threads. Either cross-referencing new content, or linking to other threads for bigger discussions. I'll try to keep up with them till we get back in the habit of having multiple threads again, but other members certainly can as well.

 

Nothing's truly off limits in the discussion thread.... I can just see the storm clouds on the horizon of Sakura's novel, the BS, the new series.... And we should make use of the extra threads now that things are picking back up again. (Just like we did when Naruto was still normal and not a sham.)

 

This thread should just be the safest zone for those of us still with ptsd and don't want to be swamped in BS!

Are you referring to the Rock Lee spin-off? ...I haven't seen it. But I was told the series was just a comedy Parody.

They may have taken Neji's protectiveness for Hinata to great extremes for the comic relief. That's just my assumption though.

 

However,  if it's true that NejiHina has a bigger fanbase than NaruHina in JP...Then I don't blame them, because at least Neji acknowledged Hinata's existance and feelings way before his unnecessary demise and the Retcons.

 

Its indeed a parody... in appearance. The manga actually gives character development for tenten, lee, neji and Hinata (we actually see her training with neji, her progress, seeing finally her winning). SOmething Kishi never did...

 

It actually truer to what the story of part 1 was really about.

Sasuke meeting the Hokage was just as trash as the whole brother thing. Once again, that right belonged to Naruto. The Hokage's caused as much damage (actually more, really) to Naruto's life as they did Sasuke, yet they barely offered Naruto any words. Sasuke's role ended after Itachi's death, but people wanted to see him more, this we got more. The only thing visible behind Naruto was the eyes, it had nothing to do with the body. Sasuke didn't work for anything once he got the MS and was handed everything after. His whole reason for obtaining the EMS was that he felt inferior to Naruto after meeting him at the bridge, Sasuke hadn't been stronger since before Naruto got Sage mode.

No, Naruto's Sage chakra is literally sage chakra. The Bijuu were separate from that.

 

That's debatable. We never actually got to see the full capabilities of MS Sasuke's perfected Susanoo before his eyesight deteriorated to the point of unsustainability. And contrary to the Uchiha, Naruto's power didn't take a hit by losing the Curse Seal when Itachi removed it alongside Orochimaru's essence. Sasuke didn't have the luxury of keeping what he had been disciplining his body and fine tuning his style of combat to accommodate for the past three years. He may have successfully killed the Raikage and Gaara during the Kage Summit if his Sharingan powers were being amplified by CS2. Needless to say, a hypothetical MS Sasuke with the Curse Seal still available would be far stronger compared to his manga self.

This series is soo much better than the original story in so much points ! Plus, apparently, Taira Kenji understood the characters better than Kishi ever did. 

It's refreshing, funny, full of NS moments and I absolutely love it !

Apparently, the sakura wanting Sasuke to be more like Naruto thing was fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if she ever feel that or think that later in the book....

And as Kishi said, they had to be 18 to really feel and start a relationship....or something along these lines...

 

Yes, I expected that too ! after all, she was only a side character...just like Gaara or shika, or...idk, Sai ? she was supposed to be influenced by Naruto  but in a good way: try to find a solution to her clan's problems, move on and become an independent woman. But she did the exact opposite.

Two responses.

 

1: Wind still makes me tear up and I've said it like 3 times here before but someone posted the closing with Wind in the "Naruto will end in 5 weeks" thread and I was so overcome with The Feels. It evokes nostalgia, not just for the show, but for the time when I started watching it all those 15 or whatever odd years ago and its moving and charming and I could go on and on and on and on

2: Will all due respect to anyone who is 19 and married here, the thought of getting married at that age fills me with a visceral unpleasantness. I think about who I was at 19 and the partner I had and just..... oh lord. No. Just no. No no no nononononononono.

Kenji tara was an assistant to Kishi. I Wonder if he was the actual Genius of the series along the first editor.

 

He totally shipped Narusaku. During the love scroll chapter, Hinata faints when she sees Naruto and Sakura is like " don't make things more complicated !" and Naruto is like "how is this my fault ?" lol.

 

During this chapter, every sensical pairing actually coincided with how part 1 ended in terms of possible romance.

They would've ended it quickly, but Hinata got pregnant and they're like 'kitten'! Naruto is living a lie and that's how he becomes as bitter as his 700 self.

Being married at 19 isn't a problem but how fast they married since they again barely know each other and Naruto just fell in love in a genjutsu, the fact that they keep putting NH stuff make it seems that Naruto is always with Hinata after the last and barely with his friends like Sakura, hell I have a hard time imagining Naruto not thinking about Sasuke

I read the translation on Reddit. It's kinda confusing though, since Sakura meets NH when they're on a date, and she talks about them being together for several months. Than she said she just got a letter from them for a wedding invitation. I don't really have a problem with them marrying at 19 either, but I don't see how you can build a relationship that fast with somebody you've never paid attention to until a few days of interacting with each other.
