If they actually do that, there better be a back story to how Naruto and Sakura got together in that AU.

Nah~ they're not gonna rewrite kitten.

Majority of fandom (especially non-shippers) was okay and accepted the last chapters, which confirms they will not change the endgame pairings. It's the fraud/false marketing/sh*tty plot of the movie that they are raging against. I'm pretty sure that if the movie was less shoujo-like and would have more action / team 7 + Kakashi dynamic the majority of fandom would be alright. Sad but true.

Actually, unlike many people...I could give Kishi a second chance, but not that easily though, of course. Not only he's gonna have to declare the last as not canon but i want him to trash-talk The last badly, if he cant even do atleast that then he will still be the lowest author ive ever seen, the movie was a complete insult to his characters. its beyond me that he would find that acceptable.

Made the mistake of going to NarutoBase for a bit. The lengths some people will go to overlook how disgusting SS is baffles me. "He developed feelings for her in part one" my ass.

I know how you feel, AHK, and even if it's canon, Sakura STILL is suffering because Sasuke is NEVER HOME.

It's a terrible ship, and the people that ship it seem to have no sense of real love, or decency. There's on such thing as a Sakura fan that likes SS.

Yeah, I think that one was also a  marketing stunt from SP due to how much hype they put around the big epic reunion between Naruto and Sasuke. What will go down? As much as I didn't like what we got in the movie, it's still much more enjoyable than The Last.

Kaguya... Yeah, if they really dare to add a background story, it would be a bold move, but I'm surprised anyways how much they have changed in the games. What worries me is the introduction of Naruto from the Last. What if the story will try to nagivate it in a way that will make the Last happen (meaning Ch.699). Let's hope that the Last Naruto is only a character who has minimal influence in the story.

 

 

Oh gods if they do something like that then I'm just gonna say abandon ship from the expectations crew of Storm 4. I know for storm 2 they added in some random character that wasn't even a part of the series in the game. He was only playable for free battle and online versus mode. So maybe it might be the same thing here with The Last Naruto. 

 

There hasn't been a release date for Storm 4 yet, but if I have to guess then my guess is that the game will most likely come out in the fall of 2015. You know one of the things I've wanted to see in the storm games was to have Rin as a playable character. It's not too far fetch because the new storm game (Revolution) had Kushina as a playable character so it be the same thing. 

 

 

I swear if they add Kaguya as a playable character (which I wouldn't be surprised about) then yeah... things will get pretty crazy then.

I agree, but you're speaking of morality. Morality and validity exist independently of each other. Whether something is right or wrong has no bearing on whether it is valid. Morality comes into play only on the approach you take towards attempting to achieve the change that you desire. Right and wrong only become right and wrong after acting. 
 

I think your making a distinction without a difference. I've never been in a philosophy class where the efficiency of an action is taken into account, and I don't know what you mean by "valid" if you don't mean efficient, To measure if something is valid you must first set a standard by which it is to be measured. When we are talking about human action, what you are talking about is the morality of an action. Things can be moral, amoral, or immoral. Giving money to a homeless person may be seen as moral, kicking them would be seen as immoral, and happening to sneeze after you pass them would be amoral.

 

So by what way are you using the world valid? If your talking about logic, then Obito fails on that account as well. His actions aren't logical they are based in a desire for vengeance, his actions are based on emotion not logic.

 

The debate was never centered around whether Obito was right or wrong, only if his motivation was valid. Apparently, Obito was a black sheep amongst the Uchiha, I would have really liked to learn why. I'd also like to have had a better look at the time he spent with Madara.

 

See this is why I don't know what your talking about. You seem to be using the word valid in a legal sense. In that sense his actions are even less correct. Going from the logical leap from "I'm sad the girl I love was killed by the man I asked to protect her." to "I will take away mankind's free will so nothing bad will happen again" is huge, and I don't think a case can be made that there is a logical set up to that chain of thought, there would be to many fallacies. It's an emotional response not a logical one.

 

Or are you meaning valid as in it aligns with his character in universe mindset? If that's the case I suppose you could say that since it's stated now that the Uchiha are basically so overly emotional to the point where they are illogical individuals. At which point the foolishness and leaps of logic would make sense because of his emotional makeup. That would still mean though that the morality, and logic of his actions are incorrect. Their entire plan is rooted in selfish emotions and desires.

 

Here's a little rant though:

 

The Uchiha can not deal with the realities of the world so they want to change the very nature of the natural world, and bend it to their own will, putting their own desires above anyone's free will because of their ability to bring mankind under their heel. In other words the only idea that appeal to is that might makes right, and sense they are strong they can force the world to change for them based on whatever they desire, even if it's based on simple emotionalism. Of course I don't think Kishimoto even understands that.

 

Hell the only reason Sasuke was "saved" is because Naruto can punch him just as hard as he can punch Naruto. Sasuke couldn't overcome Naruto, the same way Sasuke could overcome other peoples strength so he relented to Naruto's will. It's another reason this story is so thematically a mess, and just another reason the ending puts people in a foul mode. There is no moral victory for what's right... one persons might was just shown to be the equal of another so the negative force in the story stopped acting. Naruto didn't make Sasuke see that his actions were wrong... he just proved that he was to big of an obstacle for Sasuke to overcome so Sasuke stopped his plan.
