Naruto and his "childhood friend" Hinata's love adventures? What the kitten?
In the manga Naruto is friends with Sakura BEFORE Hinata. THEY'RE the real childhood friends. Naruto and Hinata were just acquaintances.
The retconning BS is unbelievable.

 

They need to align events in the movie with the universe's timeline somehow. Retroactively altering the emotional and social circumstances of Naruto's childhood so that it's implied Hinata was an enduring source of support in his life is their way of giving her more relevancy. Although the supervisor should have have gone a bit more in depth as to the nature of Hinata's exact role in Naruto's life prior to the manga's events. He could have handpicked and referenced the flashback scenes of Naruto, Choji, and Kiba ditching class together as evidence that he wasn't completely alone (it may have only occurred in the anime, but some form of evidence is better than none), but instead he took this inane approach in responding with answers that present even more questions while contradicting established canon material.

Kishimoto is truly an idiot. NaruSaku could've been canon so easily, without BS retcons or a whole movie devoted towards them to make it believable. All it would take was Naruto's confession, a promise callback, a Sakura realization and that's it. He wouldn't have to fish around for sh*tty explanations or take ideas from others to write a damn pairing. All he did making SS/NH canon is complicate things too much for his simple-minded brain to handle. He claims he's bad at romance yet had a perfectly fine non-canon pair on the cusp of being official. Way to screw yourself over, Kishi.

 

Seriously. I can't get this guy. I'm writing my alternate Naruto ending and the more I do it, the more I'm realizing just how colossally he f**cked up.

I've only seen six episodes so far, and I really don't like it. Nevertheless, Asuna and Kirito are X1000 better than NH and SS. This couple is probably one of the most famous anime couples in Japan right now.

Try Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso too. (My sig) and Parasyte the maxim. I highly recommend it.
