That whole Japansese woman have to be loyal to their men is kitten. Why is it that we only hear about this now after the ending?
Someone want to fill me on why no ever stated anything about that part of Japanese culture?

That cultural kitten might be expected of her if Sakura were like...MARRIED to Sasuke, and kitten, but she wasn't. They weren't even in a relationship. So she wasn't HIS and he wasn't HERS.
Pls shame me for procrastinating.

sorry for the rude response, but the woman idea was so absurd that i couldn't help myself. ino, rin (unfortunately), and tsunade (arguably) are some examples of women who moved on.
Ino couldnt get the real deal so she had to get a cheap imitation, how is that moving on? Needles to say the ending was god awful.

ON THE UP SIDE I am quite excited to read new fanfiction on all of this. This is horrible, but I almost like the concept of Naruto and Sakura loving each other but not being able to have each other because they're with other people. Obviously, I'd prefer them canon...but yeah

If you look at the stuff from before pain and then after pain... it really seems like something big changed. The lack of Yahagi it's pretty evident.
I must say that I enjoyed most stuff from when Yahagi was around, and I still do. However the Naruto that came after Pain... it's not Yahagi's editorial work so, I am not so interested on it.
If you noticed, it was during the Kage summit arc where Yahagi was most needed, Kishimoto really needed an editor there to get his reigns and tell him "wtf are you doing with sasuke or team taka? stop watching star wars" the one that he had at the time did squat, but I am sure Yahagi would had slapped some sense into him.
Specially with Taka, it felt as if he where developing taka's growth into a family, but then kage summit happened and kitten everything... Seriously what's up with that?
I like to think that this current ending will be temporary, but that really depends on the backlash of his decision.

Actually those are all questionable examples, Ino didn't look like she moved on, her dreamworld showed that she still liked Sasuke (It also reminded everyone why Sakura liked Sasuke, he was a pretty boy) The same can be said about Tsunade, she's actually the worst, she literally spent 30 plus year mourning the loss of Dan, and it wasonly starting to look like she was ready to move on, but Kishi killed that by showing us in her dream that she still loved Dan. As for Rin I'm not sure she moved on, what she did was die, and we can't assume her coming to pick up Obito as a sign of her moving on, for all we know she died loving Kakashi and is still waiting for him. One thing the Epilogue showed us, if Kishi only hints and doesn't actually say that Rin loves Obito, it means nothing, afterall 699 of hinting at a certain pairing never happened.
Naruto is the only slut in the manga, well him and Lee, though he liked Sakura never claimed to love her. So yup only Naruto.

Tsunade isn't bad for still loving Dan. He was a good guy and I believe a part of her would've always loved him even if she got with Jiraiya. That's just what happens when you get with people with past loves; can't erase the past you know.
Lol how was Naruto a slut? I'm still irritated at Kishi's double standard that Sakura couldn't get a new mate but Naruto could.
I'm not saying Tsunade loving Dan is bad as such as that she isn't a good example of someone who moved on from the first person she loved. If she had been it probably wouldn't have taken the multiple decades it took her to move on from Dan. Dan was a likeable charactor, and Tsunade still loving him is not an issue for me, but it doesn't change the fact that she didn't move or even try to move on from him for two or three decades.
Well Kishi's own word, Sakura would be a bad person if sh moved on to Naruto, so Naruto who is the only person to have actually moved on must be a slut in Kishi's mind.

Modern wise I'm not sure what I'd look at, the US is kind of in a dark place culturally. Walking Dead is probably the biggest pop culture cable show at the moment, and that's a straight our post apocalyptic story with little romance, although there are people that want Carol and Daryl to bone really bad.
I read this as "Carl and Daryl to bone really bad" and I thought 'Wow, I guess it's really gotten dark'.

Shenanigans, She should had been dreaming about Jiraya. What has Dan done? he had just wanted to be hokage just for the sake of doing so.
All this ideology of never moving on it's shenanigans.
Also kakashi and rin... was that even necessary? I still feel like that took kakashi a bit ooc.

Hey Arnold kicks ass. Helga is the perfect example of a western tsundere; a girl who acts like she hates a guy but secretly is nuts about him. I think it compares to Sakura in NaruSaku. XD
Arnold/Helga ftw.
fun fact, in latin america the voice actress that voices Helga also voices Sakur. ;)
