Um, yes you freaking can. You can accept the ending for what it is but still have faith that Chatte's theory will come true. Hope ≠ declaring canon. Get a grip and read the title, this is a theory thread and we're taking all of what we have and turning it into possible theories for the movie. 

You can't have *accepted something and then deny it at the same time (which is what her theory is-- denying 699 and 700.)  Accepting the chapters means that you believe it to be true. That you believe it was endgame and indisputiable on the fact that it's what Kishi decided to write as the finale. Chatte's theory is a complete refusal to do this. I'm not saying that you can't believe her, but I am saying that you can't accept the last chapters and also accept Chatte's words. Its either or.

This isn't just a pairing moment or two being argued; it's the idea of what became canon. It's something that once accepted, can't be taken back as it's a finalized development.

The problem I have is that a lot of members posting in this thread are saying that they've accepted the ending, yet are not only entertaining chatte's theory but are actively having faith in it coming true. You can't be both. Either you accept the ending or you believe that it's a genjutsu and that NS will happen somehow.

Accepting the manga ending released by Kishimoto DOESN'T mean accepting NH/SS or that the epilogue made sense!!
It means accepting reality that NS lost and to not place false hope in a creator/studio who doesn't give a kitten about the pairing.
I'd rather be brave enough to accept that this bullsh*t ending is canon and move on than to delude myself that NS still has a chance of happening when Kishimoto said himself that he already decided on Hinata for Naruto.
I am still a 100% NS shipper so please don't imply to us that accepting that NH/SS are canon means we aren't.
You have to accept something in order for healing to begin. Not saying that NS doesn't have a chance anymore in canon...only that the chance is about 0.00001% when you look at the evidence.

I will say that reading Chatte's theories bring a lot more hope for this movie than right after reading 699 or 700, at least for me. I'm kinda nervous actually to find out what happens, but we'll know soon enough.

*sigh* I still have mixed up feelings about all of this.

 

I don't really much hope left even if little part of me still wish that we still might have a chance.

 

There are things that kills my hope like the interview of Kishi ( Sakura = terrible woman if she change her feelings) and even if I know that Kishi was one big troll in the past, a part of me still think that what he said is what he truly believe. However, I think he did 'laugh' after saying this, coulld this mean that he was trolling...at this point I don't really know. One thing for sure is that, to me, it was really disgusting of him to say it, even if it's seem like a joke ( you don't joke on that dammit   )

 

Second, 699, Sakura asking if she can come with Sasuke. The way she asked, all shy and blushing...hishhhh, that's something that I have a hard time accepting. However, the poke in the forehead, as much as people can argue about it, didn't feel like romantic at all, to me at least. Like Chatte said, it's a brotherly gesture that was a signature of Itachi for his little brother so maybe that's also the case for Sasuke toward Sakura. Maybe, just maybe, since we didn't have any interaction between Naruto and Sakura at the end could be in our favor or not, depending on what's in the movie ( beside Hinata, that is). If we have Kushina's love at the start of the movie, it could turn out in our favor since Kushina was pointing toward Sakura (find a girl like like her, how she fell in love with Minato = her hair etc). The little author's note ( I didn't see it but I know a lot did see it) that said that Sakura's womanhood has increase...and something about Naruto could maybe just MAYBE point out what all NS fans believed as NS canon moment...the forehead compliment ( and maybe a kiss). However, it could also be played for Hinata as well if Kishi and SP want to screw everything's up, the scarf could be the 'red thread of fate' however, it the trailer show that it was ripped, then again, even if it was ripped, they could still make it look like a crappy love story that Naruto acknowledged her love with her scarf even if it was ripped and blablabla. 

 

Still, Kushina's love point more in the direction of Sakura then anything else and with Sakura's kanji ( fate/life), which could refer to her medical abilities but it could also point to the direction of fated love, maybe?

 

Also, another thing that bugs me is whe it says that Naruto is falling in love for the first time...I mean the hell?? The manga stated otherwise, even the databooks so this one hell of a WTH to me. it's like Naruto's love for Sakura was 'pale' ( don't know if it was the right word that the person that posted that said...don't remember exactly) and then magically, Hinata's love will be true love. Also, the thing about Naruto will find the feeling of his friends ( again, don't remember exactly what it was said), if it's refer to Hinata's feeling toward him then I'm sorry but dang it, Naruto already know that she loves him...since she already confessed. it's just doesn't make any sense. I know Naruto is not the brightest but seriously, he did remember the moment she tried to save him during pain attack during the war ( Naruto saying to Hinata that he know she's strong, I can see it in your eyes). The way they said it is like Naruto completely forgot that Hinata confessed but then, after 2 years of nothing, he would suddenly realised her true feelings with what, a scarf? What a load of BS! Unless there is something else that might be bigger then the scarf ( which I doubt considering how it's EVERYWHERE, as if it's mean something big)

 

As for Junko's interview, I didn't have the chance to check it but it's refreshing to heard about her since she gave us a lot more then what SP did throw at us since the first announcement of the movie. The fact that she talked about Hinata's single minded love as cute and didn't refer anything regarding Naruto ( not that I'm aware of) could be a good sign for us but again, maybe she's not allowed to say more. But again, like Luffy said, why hiding NH being canon? We did see the kids design for the movie and we did read chapter 700...unless it's more then meet the eyes like Chatte's theory suggest.

 

There are no SS moments being confirmed. Maybe there will be at the end considering that Sasuke and Sakura are not together during the movie ( him being in the village and her being in the mission) but still, why not showing I don't know, picture of Sarada with her parents? As much as I remember, I didn't see any picture of her relating the movie only in the manga. We already know that there are cannon in the manga so why not showing the same with the movie?

 

*sigh* So many things that I could add but it was already mentioned. I don't want to get my hope up, especially not after the interview about Sakura's being terrible woman if she change her feelings ( I really felt betrayed reading this) but no matter what, I still agree that there are a lot of things that doesn't make any sense and that this many things could point out in our direction or not.

I agree. I just don't understand why it's so hard to leave people alone for less than 15 hours.

I've accepted the ending but respect the fact that some people need to have this movie to finally have some proper closure.
