It was probably his last-minute NH development to prove that Hinata and Naruto went together.

Naruto tripped on a rock because he was fighting for 3 days straight and was exhausted. Hinata tripped on a rock because of her own stupidity. There is a huge difference.

Another difference is is that Naruto was still able to fight despite it and not just sit and pray for salvation.

I won't even be surprised if they make Hinata part of Team 7. Anything is possible in a world where girls marry their attempted murderers and boys settle for their stalkers!
Since she's Naruto's wife that automatically makes her part of Team 7 anyway. XD

Seriously....can this movie force any more bullsh**? How can people accept this? How can any of this be considered canon? It goes against everything the manga has set up and worse it laughs in the face of it.

This movie...no, there are no words I can say. This movie is trying to retcon 15 years of a manga just to suit a pairing choice...

The vitriol towards Hinata is strange lol. I like her. She's a weak character that tries hard to change herself. I like underdog characters. (And yeah, I get it. She got in the way of Narusaku. I just can't hate one of the few female characters that gets screen time in the manga lol) As for Melondy, it's fake. It's just a recolor/photoshopped version of the leaked movie model for Himawari.

Guess they have to make Hinata relevant to Team 7 in order to justify the NH pairing. How else is she going to get close to Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, Sai/yamato... the most important people in Naruto's life?? By joining their team of course!

After seeing Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods not too long ago, I can definitely say that's how you add to a story without messing it up. Too bad The Last won't do that...

I do not think Kishi and the studio ar worry,even if the critics say theat the Manga is bad and for us NS fans we were given a slap in the face with that end they still have NH and SS fans on their side.they still have a lot of fans and they still make a lot of money.I do not know why.but because of the end I think  theat it will backfire on them in the long run

Here's how I would have developed Hinata: 
 
She keeps her crush on Naruto at first, but once the chunnin exams are over she trains with all of her heart to become a strong leader for her clan. During this time she becomes close to Hanabi and realizes what's her own ninja way: to protect her family and the Konoha village. From then on she matures and promises to Hanabi that the Hyuuga clan will be the guardians, the protectors of Konoha. She becomes so focused on this goal that love is a second factor to her now. Eventually she falls for Kiba since he's the closest to Naruto and has actually responded to her and acknowledged her existence (even though I love Sasuhina). I wanted to see a girl maturing out of her first crush into a woman developing her first love.
 
So basically, instead of finding strength through Naruto (which is very generic), she finds strength through her family.

I like hinata too, my only problem with her is that she is so focused on naruto that it gets pathetic.
C'mon... Your kittenin cousin died and you think of Naruto's big strong hand?

It would be so cool if we saw a hinata development not related to naruto

I mean in part 1 her storyline had a lot of potential with the hyuga clan (main branch and side branch and all this kitten)
But in part 2 looks like her character only thinks about naruto 24/7

In truth... I like what her character could have been

in my opinion khishi did it for money if you look at theat from a neutral position.the magazine is a business like any business they don't care about the fans(how they fill).NH and SS fans put together ar bigger than the NS fans.they chose the bigger reward.
