Even if the fight is settled something like the OVA can still happen and it would be sweet to have Sasuke present there imo since Sakura doesn't love him anymore and thinks of him as a family member and in this way t7 will finally be settled.

Maybe Sasuke just needed to hit something until he 'let it all out'. Naruto was the perfect punching bag apparently, and now he'll be 'converted'.

 

Oh well at least we can get to the pairing resolution. I'm looking forward to that.

How so? Seeing how the last few chapters went, Sasuke doesn't care what Naruto is saying. He is set on doing things his way and he even said that he and Naruto understand each other. This makes me think that they will come to an agreement but they will go separate ways. Tbh, if they make up after bashing each other's faces like that, it will look like an asspull. If kishi wanted them to be buddies again, he would have stopped after defeating Kaguya. 

 

 

Oh well at least we can get to the pairing resolution. I'm looking forward to that.

 

 

I'm looking forward to the OVA finally happening so I don't have to deal with anymore pairing bs or that movie. Let NS be canon in the manga so we can enjoy it properly.

So, I guess that the IT will be dispelled? Makes you wonder what will happen that things can finally be settled. I was convinced, despite first impressions, that there would be room for TnJ, but something tells me that if things are truly to be settled, then something more forceful will have to take place to move it along. Maybe there is room for Sakura and Kakashi to interfere? Gah! Things can go either way, now that I'm giving it some thought again- @konan-sama, you know about this. LOL- and I'm really on the edge of my seat now! 

 

Furthermore, are "the two" to whom the preview refers Naruto and Sasuke, or is it suggesting that two other players- most likely Kakashi and Sakura- will be involved? 

 

One last question this brings up is that if things do reach an end, does this mean that the final chapter can, indeed, be an epilogue?

If I'm not mistaken, we're to have chapter 699, along with a special chapter, which, I suppose, would effectively make it chapter 700. Additionally, they said something about a 39 page chapter being in the works, presumably for the ending, which makes sense, because it's, well, the ending. I'm not sure whether the 39 pages refers to the length of just one of the chapters in question, or it implies that it'll be the combined length of both. Hmm...

Well, here's how I see it, although it's probably oversimplifying things:

1- If Sakura and Kakashi are on time, they might have a hand in helping settle the fight. Somehow. 

2- If they're not, then there might be a little more room for words and/or physical confrontation- It's a shounen; anything is possible.- before they have to settle things. Kakashi and Sakura will arrive just as it ends or even after it ends. 

 

Since it seems we're going with an OVA situation and we might even be having a reference to Jiraiya's book, I think it makes #2 more plausible. Of course, it can also happen in option #1, but things between Kakashi and Sakura will have to be sped up; this especially holds true, because the fight is allegedly going to be settled in this chapter, unless if the preview is trolling us somehow. 

 

By the way, how convenient is it that if a reference to Jiraiya's novel were to happen, it perfectly involves Kakashi, who's a big fan of his? Talk about things possibly being totally metatheatrical!
