You're on the winning side though.

Luffy getting with anyone just sounds weird to me. :umm:

Oh I know, its just the shipping fandoms outside of NS are god awful, and the entire "shipping war" has been overrun with immaturity and stupidity everywhere.

The only person I can see him with is Nami, they seem to have a strong connection, as Nami is the only person to be allowed to hang on to Luffy's hat. Plus they have great chemistry together and Nami is hilarious.

Lol once Naruto ends, I'm never getting involved in a shipping war. I'll just hold out hope that before OP ends, we get to see a little Monkey D. Ace being carried around by Nami, but that's as far as I'll go.

Me neither. The closest war I would ever join in (in any form).

Akashi@ maybe the new era project that continues after the manga and the Last. Focusing more on Sakura, the rookies and those unimportant characters that we didn't care of knowing.

Too much Uchiha in this manga for me to care about the plot wich revolves around them. Senju, Uzumaki and others I'm interested in got practically nothing compared to the Clan of Love. And all that mambo-jumbo about prophecies, gods and reincarnations didn't help. And Obito's story ate too much space.

Not exactly. many NH and SS fans are still very stuborn. and are STILL making stuff up to remedy their inevitable defeat. all we can do is keep our wits sharp, and watch them fail about aimlessly like a child having a fit.

lol, but why though? They can do whatever they want but they can't change the fact that NS gone be endgame.

The bond between Naruto and Sasuke didn't get the development it deserved, Sakura didn't get the development she deserved, Sasuke didn't get the development he deserved, hell even Hinata didn't get the development she deserved (she did get development in part 2 but it wasn't where she needed it). And so many other characters didn't get the development they deserved.

That's because Kishi wasted time introducing more and more new characters and wasted panels on useless talk instead of focusing on the main cast... which lead to all those numerous ass-pulls and OOC behaviour.

I agree.  They were yamshaed   .

Except for Shika the author's darling.

Shika is one of my faves too...  :sweatdrop:

Well, idk... It's Kishi's story... if he's satisfied with his own work and how it turned out.. well good for him.

"I thought people wanted to see Naruto and Sasuke. Well excuse me!" - Kishi

YOLO

it's hard to tell with practically no new info on this matter, but that'd be great.

Question:

What do you think in fictional story is a more suitable age to be in love and be together: teenager or young adult alas Shippuden or The Last? In anime/manga, they sure go for teenager age like 16 or 17. In western media at times, they wait until they hit 18 or older to finally make love.

What Part II needed was balance. You just can't disregard 90% of your cast because, as we all know, it's hard making a story enjoyable to read with just two characters. That's why it's called the "supporting" cast, cause sometimes your main protagonist can't always be in the center of the spotlight, and other characters pick up the slack for him/her. Both Naruto and Bleach suffer from this but in two completely different ways. To some people, the character of Naruto has become rather dull and boring precisely because his presence has been overused, but when the plot shifts focus to lesser characters, like Shikamaru in the Hidan & Kakazu arc, it comes off as a breath of fresh air. But that's the problem. It shouldn't feel like a breath of fresh, it should feel natural to see a supporting character get at least some development.

In Bleach, it's the opposite. Many people find the story enjoyable only when the main character: Ichigo, is in the spotlight because when he isn't, it's supporting cast isn't strong enough to keep the readers interest. They just aren't entertaining. It's all about balance.

Rookies never got the development they deserved..  :hm:

What development ?

How could he develop characters like Ino, Shino, Choji, TenTen and Kiba? They were never meant to be an important part of the story and neither did they have any thing to be 'developed' from. They had normal childhoods and they simply grew up in a normal way becoming stronger Shinobis. What more can you expect?

Shikamaru has gotten very good development. I don't think anyone can disagree.

Rock-Lee- He is a character that is not supposed to change ever. That's the defining trait of Lee and even Gai. The only development that should be expected in Lee's case is in his strength and not his personality. Kishi has delivered on that.

Hinata- I'm sorry, you cannot deny that she has got decent development. She went from a weak, shy girl always looking up to Naruto for inspiration to a strong, confident ninja who managed to inspire Naruto after Neji died. Not only that, at one point she was even shown to be leading the Alliance vocally and by example. Yes, this change felt sudden and forced but she did get the development

You know, SP have done a lot of episodes focusing on the rookies. Its funny that many complain that those episodes were boring and pointless and yet also expressing disappointment that Kishi did not do something similar.

I know we will get it early as November 6th, but I like to believe it all ends on 10th. That said well as much as it does end, Halo sure got my cover with all its awesomeness happening on the same day. It's like a cure for me. I'm happy.

I have a better title but I'm holding it for my next rant.

While it's true that Kishi stepped up the drama with Hinata's confession he never followed it through. He did Hinata's confession then 1 million chapters later he did the hand holding and nothing in between. Not even a talk. It's just Kishi going "Here's Hinata." and everyone loses their minds over a moment that means nothing when you step back and take in look at the big picture.

You are correct the pairing war it turned out to be garbage because one side (us) have facts while the other side only has their own personal interpretation.

About the bold part. I honestly can't tell you because not even the writer himself doesn't know or at least not anymore. I'm sure he did when he create this story but now "it slipped his mind".

Yeah, basically this, but I would like to add something on to this...

Another problem I feel was people were too focused on what girl Naruto is going to choose which never was something Naruto has questioned. We never had Naruto play with the love confliction of "who do I love more?" or "Who do I want to be with?"

To me, the whole story was never about what naruto will choose to do or be, but rather how will Naruto will succeed where others have failed or if he will succeed at all? That's why I don't see the pairing wars as anything more than fanmade because in reality the story never plays out that pairing confliction with Naruto questioning who he loves more only to choose one girl in the end. He has always said he loves Sakura and he said he will always love her. I think that should have been a good indication.

I guess the only advice I can give is don't sweat the little things. Do that and you may tend to enjoy whatever story you're reading or watching a little more. But to each their own.

Thank You ! I don't understand the excessive complaining too. We have all been complaining about one thing or the other from hundreds of chapters. I can understand some of the disappointments... but still, there were/are good things in this manga which we like/ liked and which made us become fans.

Now we have three more chapters to go, ONLY THREE.

Can't we, for once, just put aside the disappointments and talk about the positive aspects of the manga? This is a good time to show a little bit of appreciation for all the years of entertainment, joys, sorrows, laughs etc that this manga has given to us.

Well, it's a global scale, like Harry Potter, Avatar, and so on, so a loss will be a nuke on Earth.

I actually enjoyed those filler episodes (when they didn't go too much OOC that is).

Hinata's so-called "development" is a shame. She's been reduced to pairing fodder ever since part II started and still remains one. The only thing she cares about is Naruto-kun and his hand.  :hm:

It's all personal preferences, really, but I'd really love to see more of Naruto's peers.

Well, anyway Kishi's the guy who couldn't do his heroine justice, so I won't complain. Like I said before, it's his work.. If he's truly satisfied with how it turned out, I'm happy.
