[Tengu Fox Uchiha]

Well...

 

The only images they are withholding now are Hinata, Sasuke, Kakashi and possibly Taka.

 

Hinata would probably be because she become the heir of her clan and they don't want to spoil that, it is that or she is the antagonist of the movie because of the chakra fruit.

 

Sasuke is wandering of or leading his own village, in any given case it's likely he would only be revealed with Taka whose appearance in a movie would be a blatant spoil to his fate.

 

Kakashi is the Hokage and they don't want to spoil that either.

Team 8 is not Hinata alone. Shino and Kiba are the manliest and most badass rookies by a wide margin. It also helps they aren't an emotional mess like team 7 is. Just teammates doing their jobs without trulub involved.

I think that is better not scream cannon before the time, as a NaruHina I know how awkward it got after chapter 615 turned out to be a false lead.

 

The annoying thing is that NH is screaming canon over a scarf and the vague sketch of a woman who not only doesn't match Hinata's design but also has a completely unknown purpose towards the plot, if that turns out to be wrong then it will be another mess to clean up.

 

Watching and waiting should be the course of action just to make a possible NS victory more delicious.

 

As for plot relevance, remember that Hinata is an awfully popular character in both Japan and the West so banking on people's expectation marketwise goes well beyong the scope of the plot.

I did read an interview somewhere awhile back that had Kishi say that the black in Naruto's Part II attire symbolized how darkness has entered Naruto's life, and therefore he's more mature because of it. I interpreted the "darkness" as being Naruto and Sasuke's first fight at the VoTE, and Naruto's failure to bring him back.

Makes sense. Although it has me questioning what tragedy or distress could have made him blacken the effect of his clothes when the old enmity with Sasuke has finally been atoned for. No enemies or organisations still exist that could pose any significant threat to Naruto. All of the Kages have expressed their wish to see that a more permanent alliance between their nations form after the conclusion of the war - which is the milestone needed for Jiraiya's vision of peace to come true (Those obscured smaller nations which Pain bemoaned as having suffered extensively as a result of the superpowers' encroachment into their lands to carry out their petty wars may not see too much reference in this movie, but whatever, they're probably not important anyway.).

Maybe Naruto didn't fully redeemed Sasuke, if the latter isn't back to the village it could mean that he is still trying to accomplish something which puts him into confrontation towards others.

 

I am adept of the theory that Sasuke founded his own village and instead of making himself an eternal enemy, he is gonna build up a stronger nation that can match the 5 elemental nations for eternity.

 

Kind of trying to create a bipolar balance of the world instead of the multipolar mess that caused so many wars.

Maybe darkness isn't the best word. I think Kishi meant it represents the hardships that Naruto has gone though. And surely he's faced a lot throughout Part II.
