The way I see it Sasuke just wants to be King of the world

 

The problem is getting everyone to accept it. He can say he doesn't care what they think all he wants, but unless he gets their acceptance he's gonna be facing hell day in and day out.

And by doing so he'll just continue the cycle of hatred he claims he wants to break. That's ultimately why Sasuke's plan won't work. He plans on breaking the cycle of hatred and issuing in an era of peace by using hate. Does he really think killing the Five Kage is gonna change anything? Let's say he does kill Naruto and the Five Kage. When he breaks the IT does he think everyone's going to sit there and obey him? No. They'll be pissed. They'll probably try to fight him like they did Madara and Obito. Okay. So he kills them too. Then he'll end up having to kill the people who got pissed those guys died. In the end, either Sasuke's going to finally wind up dead, or he'll end up ruling a nation of one.

Whenever I feel down about the whole pairing war, I just remember the fact that Minato doesn't even know Hinata exists.
Which practically confirms Naruto will end up with Sakura, considering the whole 631.

To clarify, because both of Narutos parents are dead, one of then meeting Narutos romantic interest is quite significant.

he knows there will be rebels since he'll be hated. he'll control people through fear and violence, and submission will be his own image of peace. i'm not saying it's right, but sasuke simply doesn't care.

Makes sense. One tends to want their parent's blessing and approval in choice of significant other. It makes sense in writing for that to happen, especially for someone like Naruto who missed out on growing up with his parents. Writing device.

I don't know if this is just me but I HOPE that Kishi does not make Sasuke, after he is defeated and realize that his "path" is wrong, start to cry his eyes out like that one time after he found out about the truth of itachi.

I've seen dozens of battle manga and most of them shows the final villain having a major teary eye moment and it would feel soooooooo awkward if Sasuke did the same after all this time ya know lol
