So basically the premise of 694 can be summed up like this…

Believing Sakura means nothing to Sasuke is wrong. He's not in love with her but it's obvious he's touched by her feelings, and it's also obvious that he's trying to erase all this.

 

Kishi is proving with this chapter that Sasuke is not evil at all. He's just trying to do good, but with the wrong way, just like Pain did for example.

Sasuke's feelings are more clear with this chapter. He's trying to be cold and kill Naruto just like that, but deep down inside he has feelings for Naruto. What he said is proving he considers team7 like his family, because they filled the hole in his heart after Itachi's slaughter of the Uchiha clan.

 

SasuSaku fans are not so wrong when they are saying that Sasuke is trying to make Sakura hate him. With what he said in this chapter, it seems to be the actual thing Sasuke is doing. But I'm sure as hell that he's touched by Sakura's feelings, even if he's trying to kill those feelings by being rude to her. Sasuke wants to stay alone. He just wants to take all the hatred on him, just like Naruto wanted to do back then. Sasuke is ready to sacrifice himself in order to protect what his brother wanted to protect.

 

With this chapter, we could get a glimpse on what Sasuke is feeling. And what I said last chapter about him feeling down on himself is true. He's considering himself not good. But he's accepting it because it will permit him to attain his goal.

 

That's my opinion.

I seriously don't understand why you guys want inner Sakura to come back. If inner Sakura would be back, then you could say for sure this time that Sakura has regressed to her self from the first part. Because those times when she was in conflict with her inner self were in the past. She learnt to accept this part of her, and she's not conflicted with it anymore. That would be a big regression to have it back now.

 

Inner Sakura theoretically could a vital asset to Sakura like it was shown here.

Glad this chapter is out of the way. It just basically proved how much of a psychopath Sasuke is. Gotta love that "I'm right and everyone else is wrong" way of thinking he has.

This is another classic case of not reading and understanding the manga and twisting it to suit a pairing agenda.

 

Naruto / Sasuke's bond is the centrepiece. Sakura doesn't fit into the equation.

 

If Sakura meant enough to Sasuke that she'd be able to prevent him from doing this, Kishimoto would have built this relationship up. He hasn't.

 

The Itachi parallel doesn't make sense because Sasuke had no intention of engaging her till she opened her mouth and started spouting nonsense. It was annoying him so he placed her in a genjutsu simulating death.

 

Itachi did that for Sasuke so he could be fueled by revenge directed towards him. Sasuke has no intention of dying and making Sakura some hero, nor does he care for her as a friend.

 

"So then why didn't he just kill her?".

 

Because:

 

It's inconvenient cause Naruto loves her.

It's quick and effortless.

He doesn't hate her enough to kill. He doesn't hate her at all.

 

He's also "promised" Naruto that he will kill him first in the closing chapter of the Land of Iron arc, and he's obviously far too proud to go back on his word.

Sasuke genuinely doesn't care about Sakura. He didn't care that she got stabbed and even seemed to want to slash through her to get to Madara, and he couldn't care less that she was falling to her demise in Kaguya's lava. (One of the many things he's done that I don't condone.) 

 

His bond with Naruto is the strongest, as he confirmed in this chapter, so that's the one he has to sever through the most extreme methods. Naruto has a strong impact on him, and, given his pragmatic attitude toward everything, he has to cut them really violently. Otherwise, he'll still be restrained by his ability to affect him, more or less. He believes that the end justifies the means, and any talk from Naruto could deter him from achieving his goals. 

 

Nobody else has had this effect on him, outside his family, which is why Kakashi and Sakura were so disposable, in his eyes.

To me, indifference is worse than hate. Hate means that you at least care enough about them to hate them.

And I answered: he'd walk his brothers path (do anything for the sake of the better purpose, no matter that the road to hell is paved with good intentions) and decide everything by himself. She was lying on the floor last chapter, now she is sitting and resting her back against a rock. It's not a sleeping position. Kishi carefully avoided to show her face and made Kakashi ask what "he" should do to not blow the effect of surprise when she shows up again.

Well, actually, Inner Sakura was just the part of Sakura's personality that she suppressed, just so that she would be likable, especially for Sasuke. The more she developed, the less Inner Sakura appeared, because Sakura had become more independent and confident with herself; she didn't need to hide her true self anymore. Inner Sakura isn't necessary, because Sakura is, more or less, expressive of her true self. 

 

I know that Inner Sakura was part of Sakura's personality, but what I'm trying to say is that Inner Sakura could be a split personality that has the other side of Sakura's feelings. The way Kishi characterizes Sakura's characters as he makes her out to be a bipolar.

He had already moved her last chapter !

 

After being genjutsued, she fell on her side.

At the end of last chapter, she was lying properly like she was sleeping.

 

But she is shown in another position again this chapter !

Tbf every character in the manga is very predictable. The only thing that is unpredictable is some of Naruto's choice of jutsus in the middle of his battles. Who can forget that reverse harem jutsu he uses against Kaguya after Sasuke had made himself look like Mr. Useless?

yeah that's what i think too. she was just mentally killed so i think it's gonna take a while for her to wake up.
