The difference between that time and now being that all this while she still had all those bottled up feelings for Sasuke and didnt get the opportunity to let them out at him.This time she did and got murdered in genjutsu.I bet she wont feel the same about Sasuke after waking up

 

All previous murders were attempts.This one was done in her mind to simulate death so its much more dangerous and horrifiying considering genjutsu leaves psychological marks on the victim and they never fully recover from it

 

Besides the manga was not ending at that time so how could she come to a realization.That will happen at the end of the manga which we are now reaching.This Sasuke issue needed to be tackled head on and I am glad Kishi took this route because finally Sakura will realiza who she truly loves

 

Remember the databook itself says that she loves Sasuke but she doesnt know exactly what her feelings for Naruto are.She is going to find the answer now.

.....I'm going to say this again.....That databook was made several years ago (i'm pretty sure it was before the Hidan & Kakuzu arc) Kishi's comment about Sakura's confession was much more recent and took place after the arc describing her actual feelings which means its word of god

 

second Sakura has had several opportunities to face facts that Sasuke is an kitten and each time afterwords she still was thinking about him as more relationship material wheras Naruto wasn't even brought up (ofcourse Kishi did this so he wouldn't make NS obvious but this ofcourse doesn't change the fact that we see what Sakura is really feeling)

I disagree.
Pairing in shonen manga will determine the ending of shonen manga.
Whether we will got an open ending or couple/family ending.

NS will happen when naruto confess to sakura.
NS happen in the first place because naruto love sakura and not the other way around.
So it doesn't need sasuke go evil for NS to become canon pairing.

It does if we're led to believe she will reciprocate his feelings properly. Again several murder attempts and him telling her to her face that she's an eyesore after everything that's happened and her still thinking about him over Naruto who she openly admits would be better for her speaks miles of how much worse this would really be had Sasuke not left.

But what you dont realize is that had Kishi gone this route,NaruSaku would have been canon a long time ago.He would want to drag it out till the end and thats why many red herrings and confessions are introduced to keep things interesting.Every time something positive about a ship happens its thrashed a couple of chapters later.We had Hinata's confession to Naruto and many thought Naruto will get out with Hinata and yet that same scene was debunked when Sakura hugged Naruto in front of the village and everyone was blushing and Naruto even ignored it completely as if it never happened.Later on we had Sakura's fake confession which was again debunked when Sai explained the purpose behind the visit.After that we got 615 and the handhold but even that got debunked in 631 with Naruto calling Sakura his girlfriend.Then we got 685 where many thought SasuSaku could happen yet that was debunked AGAIN in 692 and 693 that that rescue and eye sex was nothing but platonic on Sasuke's part

 

I expect something similar this time.A confession when the manga is not yet even close to the end is too good to be true dont you think?As I said this time Sasuke has gone too far.He threw away her pleads in the trash and rejected her confession and put the most brutal possible genjutsu on her which is a difference from Part 1 and his previous attempts.I am expecting a huge NaruSaku moment soon because if the trend continues EVEN this will be debunked

I just said this, obviously the red herrings and spitting on the fandoms are used to keep people guessing where his priorities are, it doesn't change the fact that he is screwing over his characters own perspectives and laughing at how much he's hurting and confusing the fandom to keep his wallet fat. Also her confession wasn't fake Kishi literally confirmed this himeslf. 

 

Have you not read the manga until now? He's done this before.....in Part 1 before he turned into an kitten completely saying at this moment that he's "gone too far" compared to the kitten he's done in the past doesn't really hold any water.

Jiraiya must have found other worthy suitors in his life, but still prefered Tsunade. Naruto still prefers Sakura because of the girlfriend comment and if Sakura can still prefer a guy like Sasuke for absolutely no reason over naruto why would Naruto ever move on to Hinata?

The last thing I want to hear in this forum is people doubting Naruto's feelings when Kishi has portrayed such bullsh** like Sakura still loving Sasuke for no reason.

I don't want Naruto to be with Hinata because that would be a boring couple (fainting and "Naruto Kun" every 5 minutes). I honestly want him to be alone like Jiraiya or be with Ino or Karin or whatever.

Unfortunately, SS shippers have some ground under their feet. I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke suddenly returned Sakura's feelings (after some time)... if Kishimoto decides so. It won't be totally unfounded. But I doubt that Sakura's affection towards Sasuke is a true romantic love enough to grow into something ripe. In spite of Japanese traditions, we're living in the 21th century so love should be portrayed according to a more positive outlook (mutuality, rapport, readiness to help one another, common interests and so on... MinaKushi, TsuDan) for the sake of younger generations.

No matter how much we want it, Naruto won't confess, he just witnessed her confess to Sasuke, Naruto isn't a character who is selfish, compared to other moments he didn't even react at all, he seemed fine with it. When Sakira urged Naruto bring Sasuke back he smiled but you could tell he was hurt in the inside but this time he didn't react all, looks like his feelings did change after all. We all thought that Sakura will actually move from Sasuke and actually side Naruto in the fight but of course we thought too much. Naruto deserves better, him being with Sakura no matter how it is written he will be the second choice. Kishi had this chapter to decide whether Sakura finally overcame her love over Sasuke and move on, or go back to square one.

I'm not being negative, having hope in something so small will only lead to disappointment In end, and the Viz translations tomorrow won't make things better

I've never seen Naruto as the second choice (i.e. she couldn't have Sasuke, so she accepted Naruto). Maybe, that's a male point of view... because, IMO, love isn't about being first or second. It's not a contest or some race. Sakura either loves or doesn't love Naruto. If she doesn't then they won't be together. Kishimoto isn't prone to depicting loveless couples. 

 

Once I even wrote a poem regarding this issue. That's how I see NS. No second choices. Just one right choice.

For some reason I still liked him, I even convinced myself I loved him. Now I was 14 years old, and he still treated me the same. The kid that liked me had became my best friend. One day the boy I liked moved away, and left with a very hurtful goodbye. I won't say what he said because I don't want to get a warning. I cried in my room for days after what he said. The only person who stood by my side was the kid who liked me. One day I asked him why he even bothered with me. He was nervous, but he confessed his love for me. I avoided him for a week after he confessed. One day I sat in my room to think about my feelings. I realized that I truly loved him. After that we started dating, and are still together. No, he wasn't a silver medal at all. I convinced myself I loved the other kid because he was cute. That was the only reason I ever liked him. I regret wasting my time with him.

I don't think it will happen, but I hope Sakura can do what I did.

So now u guys see naruto isnt just only a manga it is the way of life. As savannha said her story that might be a good resolution for NS but i dont want it to be that way cuz naruto would never accept sakura untill sasuke he has got sasuke back.

Great story. I'm 18 and I'm still looking for a girl who can take care of me from my suffering in the past and truly love me for as long as I live. When I was younger, I had four crushes only because they were beautiful, and one day I realized that loving someone just because of their looks is not true love. I'm still waiting and looking for the love of my life.

The real problem is that there is no getting around the silver medal argument.

You're very lucky to have someone who's so devoted to you. A rarity these days. Most people are afraid to fall in love so deeply.
